Friday the 13th (2009) remake

well im just wondering if jason has ever ran in any of his other flims thats all?

I don't remember myself but I do remember him catching up to a lot of people that were very far away. I'll have a check at it though because I'm going to be watching all 11 Jason movies or rather 10 Jason and 1 with his mom.

Why isnt this called the Friday the 13th Part 2 remake? This is a Jason movie, an for those who have seen the original know it was his mother who was the killer in the original and Jason only appeared at the end.....So this is not a remake, its Friday the 13th #32.

(If I just ruined the movie for anyone, though :thefinger)

Anyway, I'm not a fan of the series, so I'll give this a miss. Just like most other remake :D

Like Paul Blart: Mall Cop?

Is that really original though? I think it's just another "safe" and "dumb" comedy.

I'm talking about AN ORIGINAL HORROR MOVIE. Give me something NEW.

If there really is a "They Live" remake in the pipeline...I'm leaving this country. Maybe the gov't needs to take over Hollywood so dumb movies don't get funded.:dunno:

Start packing because its coming.

A few othere:

Battle Royale
The Birds
Evil Dead :crash:
Westworld :crash:
The Last House on the Left
Nightmare on Elm Street
Escape from New York
The Lives of others
Straw Dogs :crash:
The Thing

Those are just a few........all I can say is WHAT THE FUCK!!!!

I wouldn't mind an evil dead remake, as long as it was sam raimi and bruce campbell. evil dead two was pretty much a remake. actually so was the third one.

True originality is impossible to obtain. You can probably think of any film in history and you can probably come up with where they got the concept for it.

Then let's settle for a movie where those connections aren't so obvious. Has there been a horror movie which takes place on another planet and the protagonists are humans and aliens and the antagonist is a 3rd alien life form?

Or, how about a medieval horror? We can have a couple of Knights heading off to some big battle and they come across a village filled with zombies and they have to survive...

I'm a huge fan of the franchise and cannot wait to see this movie. The first four Friday movies were good even for sequels. It's when they brought him back from the dead that the franchise started to suck. I'm not a huge fan of the whole zombie Jason concept. I liked him better when he could be wounded. From my understanding this is going to focus on Jason and how he was mistreated as a boy by the campers etc. I don't think we are going to see his mom, but if I remember correctly I think we will get a glimpse of her head in the trailer. I don't prefer the halloween remake to the original but it was pretty good. If this comes out just as good then I will be happy.

Aliens versus Predator.

well part of it was in space... so what? close enough.

Jason takes Manhattan is still a F13 movie. Even though it didn't take place in camp crystal lake, it revolved a masked maniac killing people with a machete.

that's just nitpicking.

Or how about Enemy Mine? it was on another planet, with humans and aliens teaming up, except that the bad guys were other humans. How original do you want to get here?

Don't forget Ben-Hur, The Ten Commandments, The Bourne Identity, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Mummy, The Blob, The Fly, The Departed, Scarface, Four Brothers, Gone in Sixty Seconds, The Grudge, The Hills Have Eyes, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I Am Legend, The Jackal, King Kong, Little Shop of Horrors, Cape Fear, Bedazzled, The Omen, Ocean's Eleven, The Ring, Sweet November, The Lake House, Fatal Attraction, True Lies.

With the exception of 'The Bourne Identity' and 'The Departed' which I thought were pretty darn good movies, I agree with you on the other movies being really crap, though I haven't seen some of them. Seriously horror movies have no point to them and are getting shitter by the year.

Has anybody seen 'The Darkness'? That had to be one of the worst horror movies along with all the Halloween movies some of which I havn't seen 'The Grudge 2', 'The Omen', 'The Ring', The Freddy and Jason movies etc.

I enjoy movies with a good exciting storyline that in the end has a point for the making of the movie or moral to it. Anybody agree?

You completely misunderstood me. I didn't say any of those movies were crap. I was just listing movies and most of them I happen to like.

Jason ran a bit in Part 3 and 4, and possibly even as early as Part 2 when he was with the the sack over his head, but thats one I havent watched as much as Part 3 & 4.

Personally, I think it's about time Jason got back to how he was in 2-4. Those are arguably the best of the series, and with him running it definately puts a damper on all the jokes of the killer always walking, but somehow always catches up to the victimes nevertheless.
