Great session. And a great start for Hamilton: 2 for 2 on poles. Hopefully he can translate this one into a win.

Also, an interesting rumor on Speed about Sergio Perez possibly taking Massa's seat if Ferrari dumps him - which is beginning to look inevitable. I would rate Hulkenberg higher than Perez, but that's just my personal feeling. Plus, Hulkenberg might be tied down by a more secure contract with ***** India (unlike Sauber, a team that isn't using Ferrari engines ;)).

larss

I'm watching some specialist videos
Pretty good from Kimi, just coming back into the sport and it's good to see Schmui back up there. This season is looking close - in Q1, there was just 0.5 seconds between 7th and 17th.
McLaren lock out the front row again, but not by a huge margin. I'm looking forward to the race.

I have Perez over Hulkenberg, even with the tough rookie season he had last year. Hulkenberg really isnt locked in with ***** India, but Perez is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy.

...Perez is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy.

Ah, I didn't realize that.

Shame about Massa. But he just isn't getting the job done. Course, neither is the car, but Massa has been a step behind since his accident. No F1 team is going to let (relatively) poor performance go but for so long.

Ferrari fucked up the car, they won't put a rookie driver in it. If Massa gets dump, I think Ferrari's gonna put Fisichella or Gene in it, both test drivers.

I think Gene and Fisichella both got dumped from their Ferrari test driver roles last year. I believe Jules Bianchi is the new guy. And I doubt Fisichella will ever get in anything but a Ferrari street car at this point. Remember how bad he screwed the pooch when Massa was out? That was almost painful to watch. I really liked him when he was with Jordan.

Hopefully they let Massa finish out the season. I've never been a big fan of his, but I'd **** to see any guy get crushed like that.

Even if just to finish out the season, do you guys know who I'd REALLY love to see at Ferrari???

Kamui! Kamui! Kamui Kobayashi!!! :nanner:

:D

As far as I know, the third man at Ferrari is Davide Rigon. Jules Bianchi went to ***** India.

It depends on how the season goes but I believe Massa will stay on and finish the season

Who's staying up for Malaysia?

Right you are, Admiral. He certainly has. Gone are the days when test drivers would hang around for years, I guess. But I think the drive would go to a more proven driver than any tester. And Perez certainly has his name in the mix, whether it works out or not.

I'm getting ready to take a short *** and then I'm going to get back up for the race. I was hoping to download the Softpauer F1 Timing app to my girl's iPad so I could get a special view while watching the race live. But she's being a "princess" this weekend and took it back home.

Interesting fact: Charles Pic, Marussia’s rookie Frenchman, is the first driver since Yuji Ide in 2006 whose whole surname fits onto the F1 timing screens.

It is raining in Sepang!
