Though I've accepted the results because I really don't have a say and can't change things, it still feels like a punch in the stomach. Yes, we've all dealt with disappointment in the results before, but personally, it's never left such a bitter taste in my mouth as now. As someone who has put a lot of effort into the Miss FreeOnes contests and this thread over the years, there's a few things I would like to say:

  • Whether or not anyone chooses to implicate Christy Mack into the actions of her followers on twitter or if anyone believes there was adequate proof or not, there will always be the stigma with a significant number of people on the boards that she didn't win fairly. Of course, a stigma is a lot easier to deal with when someone hands you 2 cheques worth $12,500. I believe this is one of those instances where it would be beneficial to show the vote numbers so that we can all get an idea of what exactly happened. Considering that the accusations of cheating were serious enough to merit FreeOnes actually becoming directly involved, the fact that a one-time "warning-" which seemed to have little effect- was issued, and the contestant in question managed to win Miss FreeOnes as well as the Best Newcomer category, I feel that the reputation of the contest overall as well as the concept of fair play in the contest has been badly tarnished.

  • The Vicky Vette/ Julia Ann animal shelter scheme is, in my opinion, one of the lowest attempts to guilt people into voting for them. If your intention is truly to help an animal shelter, then I appreciate your sense of decency and willingness to help; however, making a big fuss about it during the contest looks like a cheap attempt to try and sway voters, so from that prospective alone and with all due respect, I'm glad that neither of you won. If only you would've waited until the contest was over to say that all winning would go to a charitable cause, I think you would've won lot more respect from votes, if maybe several fewer votes. Of course, if you would've done that, it might not have provided enough attention- as Jay Leno said, "Americans want everyone to know about the charity they do anonymously."

  • who??? is absolutely right with his statements on my other thread: we've always been told that, due to vote weighting, the board could produce a Miss FreeOnes winner, but all of the results seem to demonstrate that, unless a contestant is backed by a production company or they have a massive social media following, they cannot win. Several contestants this year have been very vocal about the concept, and more than ever, I find myself inclined to support the idea- FreeOnes should find a way to attempt to separate the independent contestants from those who have big-name backer. If something like this doesn't happen pretty soon, we may reach a stage where both the independent contestants as well as the board-based voters and posters question whether participating in the contest is worth it, with the knowledge that, for the contestants, they have no chance of winning or, for the board-based voters, their votes will consistently never be enough to produce a winner. Case and point, Miss Hybrid in this year's Miss FreeOnes- I've never seen a more lopsided amount of board support for one contestant, yet the only category she managed to win was the one specifically allocated to FreeOnes members.

  • I'm really not sure what is at the center of all of the issues for this year's contest. Is it a "growing pains" issue? Are the methods of cheating/subverting too pervasive for FreeOnes to handle? Is it something else entirely or perhaps a combination of things? Personally, I don't know, but as the contest gets more attention and seeks to expand, these issues will only get bigger, become more magnified, and cause more frustration for FreeOnes, contestants, and voters unless they are properly addressed.

Right now, I'm more than a little disenchanted with this contest. Normally, after posting all through the contest, yes, I'm tired and need a bit of a break from it, but the rest of my life usually keeps me from posting regularly; conversely, regardless of what is going on in the rest of my life, I currently don't really feel much like posting or doing my thread or anything here at all. Naturally, I do want things to change for the better and I hope that they will; however, considering the perceived and actual problems with this year's contest, I fear that, unless something is done quickly to right the ship, everyone will suffer the consequences.

You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later.

I can live with most of the results... but to have someone who has never once posted on here, and has been around in the Business for what? 1 year? More or less?
To win the Main Category, $10'000 Dollars, after having no consideration what so ever for FreeOnes, Rules, other Contestants, the Fans, etc. That is one hell of a punch to receive.

Though it is interesting to see, that someone who is new to it all, can mobilize more outside votes than over 100 who have been around for years. It would be really interesting to see by how much she won.

you bring up good points and i agree with some of it, but who the H*** is christy mack? she's just an unknown not even worth looking at. Please tell me her punk shaved fake tattooed sleeve it is not where porn is going.

As for the Vicky Vette & Julia Ann comment, you know absolutely nothing about these to ladies. They love dogs and have several at home that were rescues from kill shelters. They love their animals and the reasons they entered the contest were pure and honest ones. They gave full disclosure from the get go. Honesty is always at the forefront with miss Vette, if you don't know that then you seriously don't know Vicky Vette and Julia Ann, who btw where miss freeones in the past and is a long standing contest winner in all the major contests they enter. They are the real deal.

For the record, i don't know who this christy mack is, never heard of her and is not my cup of tea and i doubt anyone's. Her winning this contest is just total bs.

Freeones, fix this mess. No one likes a cheater.

Miss FreeOnes is just another way to drive traffic to the site. So I don't think anything will change if they continue to see an increase in traffic and sales during the contest.

It's a business decision and I don't have a problem with that. But your contribution makes the competition fun. So I hope you stick around after taking a much deserved break :)

Oh yeah....it's Miss FreeOnes time.

Everyone ready?

Well, here we are. Since we left in 2013, the last 17 months have brought us many new things: a new PM here in Australia, new Russian borders, and a new Miss FreeOnes contest. It's hard to tell which of the 3 will end up pissing off more people. Regardless, after being repeatedly poked with a stick, I'm back again to cover it all for you.

What's different?

Needless to say, the 2013 Miss FreeOnes left a lot of disappointment and ill feelings; however, there have been a lot of changes that will hopefully make this year's contest better. The Best Euro Babe category is gone, but in its place are Best MILF and Most Underrated. Additionally, we've gained votes, but we can only vote for each contestant once regardless of category, and with what seems like a massively increased field of competition, this makes each vote in each category matter a lot more. Finally, with the voting weights being changed, there's a greater change that- as many, including myself, have hoped- board members will have increased clout.

What to watch.

  • With the contest being reformatted, it will be interesting to see how everyone, voters and contestants, react to the changes. Getting one vote per contestant will definitely change voting styles and, for the contestants, could lead to category specialization.

  • As the actual votes will be updated and posted more frequently than in years past, this could help to drive new voting trends.

  • Much like any other year, it will be sad and a little depressing to see the lengths that jitna will go to for Harley Spencer. :picardfacepalm:

  • Having such a large number of contestants in the initial round, could the possible influx and dispersion of the votes dilute support for some well-known names? It will be interesting to see who can cobble together enough support from all corners to advance through the rounds.

Who I'll be following (and supporting).

One thing this contest isn't lacking is choice. That being said, my eyes have gone cross trying to figure out who to follow and who to support. While I haven't fully figured it out a top 20 and I'm not certain what categories, there are some for whom I'm always proud to support: these are the contestants that always shine during Miss FreeOnes. In no certain order:

1. Miss Hybrid
2. Lolita Borgia
3. Jaana Ruutu
4. Bella Bellini
5. Briana Lee
6. Jane Burgess
7. Maggie Green
8. Mandy Flores
9. Lacey Black
10. Aeryn Walker
11. Clayra Beau
12. Samantha Wise
13-20. These are still up for grabs. Any Suggestions?

As always, all comments, questions, and commentaries are appreciated.

Lovely to see you back on the case Mister FW

What an excellent appraisal. I see the one vote per girl as a very clever move and will have a huge impact upon the contest. This should hopefully make multiple category domination a thing of the past, opening up the contest to everyone.
