Saw Godzilla: Final Wars last night. Great film basically an orgasm of action and explosions being more porno than porno. Kind of an updated remake of Destroy All Monsters but Don Frye's mustache is like an additional monster all on its own. Definitely recommend it. I like many of the Millennium Series of Godzilla Films. Nerdy Japanese looking maybe but I enjoy it. The 2 Blu-ray set has Final Wars and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. for only $11.49 at Amazon.

I wonder if Chris Benoit woulda been good in the Godzilla suit. He was the size of Godzilla Jr but could get PO'd like the old man. Short arms like a T-Rex also. Basically Kaiju Pro Wrestling so we'd get to see Godzilla do diving heatbutts off the top of buildings and snap suplexes crashing through bridges.

Last night I watched War Of The Gargantuas wearing my War Of The Gargantuas T-Shirt to have the complete experience. This has always been one of favorite Monster Movies since I was a kid. Really love the title too. Some good Monster wrestling in this one and they run fast smashing through everything. If you haven't seen this then you must if you like this style of film. OK, tonight was Godzilla, the American one made in 1998. Just awful, awful crapola. Had a Jurassic Park Goes To Sex & The City vibe. I did not like this at all. I wanted everyone dead especially the annoying Matthew Broderick. Most any of the lesser Japanese Godzilla films will beat the pants off this heap any day.

Last night I watched Godzilla 1985. Had to download an .avi file since it's not available here. Good quality file so I got lucky. Anyway, the film was pretty good although a bit preachy on the environment. Godzilla used more as a harbinger of doom showing up when humans are bad to the planet. That goofy lizard almost caused WWIII destroying that Russian submarine. Fairly standard Godzilla fare otherwise. Raymond Burr is back by overwhelming popular demand. Just kidding on that. If you can find it on the internet give it a watch. I wish there were Blu-ray to buy so I can remove this eye patch.

I never understand why Japanese people cheer and wave goodbye to Godzilla as he leaves to destroy what was left of Tokyo. Talking about what a neat guy he is as he bear swats an apartment complex full of sleeping innocents. As an American I would resent that.

Watched the Godzilla 1985 DVD that I purchased from Monster Island Toys. It was the Japanese version with no Raymond Burr. So much better. Good film. I highly recommend this version.

Last night I watched Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster. This was one of the older Godzilla films being from 1964. There was this Venusian Princess lady who warns Earth about King Ghidorah and mentions the destruction he did to Venus. In some other area Godzilla and Rodan have also come back and are now fighting and playing a game of deathmatch volleyball with a boulder. So the busybody twins show up and call on Mothra so Mothra can convince Godzilla and Rodan to team up to take on King Ghidorah to save Earth. All join forces and Godzilla, Rodan, and Mothra do battle with King Ghidorah.

Another good Godzilla film. King Ghidorah could be his fiercest foe. I like the 3 headed dragon myself.

I remember being 5 or 6 years old and getting the original Godzilla on VHS for a Hannukah present. The cover alone was enough to convince me that the movie would be awesome.

I've seen most of the Showa series, but only a few of both the Heisei and Millennium series.

Watched a few Godzilla films this week since Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster(1964). Since then I've seen Invasion of Astro-Monster(1965), Terror of Mechagodzilla(1975), and Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah(1991). All really good ones with plenty of Monster battles and aliens planning to take over Earth.
