When they kill someone via Lethal Injection, why do they sterilize that needle they use?

Two reasons:

Most important reason is in case the medical staff gets accidentally pricked from the needle.

Also, there is always a possibility that there will be a last minute stay in the execution, after the needle is inserted bust before the poison is injected.

It depends on the context under which a person is describing it. In a technical scientific sense it's classified as a fruit because of the traits it has. But as far as commerce goes, at least in the USA, it's classified as a vegetable under regulations.
