Electric Razors

Do I want a 3-circular blade razor or a straight edge razor? I am also looking for one that won't fall apart easily, but is cheap, also has to be an electric razor because I am accident prone with disposable razors. I cut myself easily with those. The other razors I get seem to fall apart after a few months. It also has to be a close shave and not leave stray hairs. Do you guys have any recommendations out there?

All that I've used leave stray hairs which annoy me. Still...it's faster than shaving with a blade.

These days, it's pretty hard to cut yourself with the blades. I use a Mach3Turbo and I've never cut myself. As long as you move the razor in a direction that is perpendicular to the blades you'll be fine. Obviously if you go the other direction you will slice your skin.

I've never cut myself shaving though, it's not hard. YOU CAN DO IT!

A straight edge razor, so you can go all Sweeny Todd on everyone. Besides the electic razors leave bumps on your skin.

Electric razors used to be great 10 years ago. Now, they are shit. Pick up a Gillette Sensor --try to avoid the Mach bullshit. Skip the shaving cream. :yesyes: I haven't bought shaving cream in years.

Never heard anything good from electric razors. If you edge your face, go with a Bic twin blade, they are the best! If you are a clean face shaver, go with the multi blade ones! Titsrock is right, shaving cream ain't worth it if you shave everyday. If not, then You Might need some cream!

i use a braun electric razor which leaves a few stray hairs but i like the rough look backin beard for england at moment so aint used for few weeks, but ive had bout 2 years and it aint fallen to bits. but if u lookin for a really clean shave u have to have a wetshave with a normal razor, i also have a mach fusion when i want a reallyclean look

The one and only.
I use a Remington electric razor and I have no complaints. It doesn't irritate my face nearly as much as the blades do. It doesn't shave as close, but it's much easier and the clean up takes less time.

Beard it up dude. Cast off those societal shackles that keep us all enslaved into what they want us to be and become the person you've always wanted to be.

Agreed.

I used to have serious skin irritation after shaving, pimples and bumps and shit. Then I stopped using shaving cream, and more importantly, I stopped using after shave. Now I just shave in the shower using plain old soap. (With a Gilette Mach 3). I never have any problems any more.

I've had pretty good luck with Norelco razors over the years. They are the ones with the three circular blades. Their trimmers also seem to work well.

I stick with the Sensor (when I can find the blades) or the Sensor Excel. The Mach 3 is okay, but I think the old-school 2 blade is all you really need :yesyes:

Do you dudes find that blades last twice as long (sometimes 3 times as long) when you stop using shaving cream? I get minimum 2 weeks before I have to change blades, usually 3 weeks now :yesyes: With shaving cream I was lucky to get 7 days.

I'm telling you, do yourself a favor, get a straight edge and some old fashioned shaving cream, (from a can) and a lather brush. Best shave you'll ever have.

I'm one of those rare women who also uses a straight razor and it's the closest shave by far. However, I don't use shaving cream from a can. I just buy the cheapest stuff on the shelf and it works just fine on my legs.

My wife won't use my straight razor, she's afraid she'll strip her flesh of with it :1orglaugh
