Electric Razors

I'm one of those rare women who also uses a straight razor and it's the closest shave by far. However, I don't use shaving cream from a can. I just buy the cheapest stuff on the shelf and it works just fine on my legs.

My wife won't use my straight razor, she's afraid she'll strip her flesh of with it :1orglaugh

Shaving your legs with a straight razor? Now that's talent! I'd probably be in the same boat as your wife! :1orglaugh

My dad has always used a straight razor as long as I can remember and he taught my mum how to use it on her legs (so I guess it's not that different form shaving your face). I also wanted to try it so my mum taught me how to use it and after I learned how to use it she gave me one for my 18th birthday. I even sharpen it myself :) It's a lot cheaper than having to buy disposable blades.

A little different from shaving your face I would say. And since you are one of the smart ones and don't buy into the shaving cream hype or worse..the more expensive but effectively same stuff female shaving cream...why not just lather soap on ur legs?

I'm telling you, do yourself a favor, get a straight edge and some old fashioned shaving cream, (from a can) and a lather brush. Best shave you'll ever have.

From what I heard from a reputable source, straight razors are not good for people with darker skin because most people with melanin, the hair doesn't grow out straight and usually curls and causes bumps and ingrown hairs, because of how close a straight razor shaves.

If you are melanin free, then from all accounts that I've ever heard, you will never get a better shave than with a straight razor.

Another option other than the three that were mention is to use a depilatory and burn the hair off.You really have to be careful with that stuff though,as you have a chance of getting chemical burn.

Well, I'd probably hack my legs too much :1orglaugh But you've got my respect for your skills :)

I'm dark skinned, and I've never had an issue, although it's definitely not out of the question that I may be an outlier.

I am as well, and there's no way in hell I would ever put a straight razor to my face.I have enough problems with disposables as it is.Looks like you are the rare exception.
