FYI wikipedia has been found more reliable than traditional encyclopedias.
Alright everyone...tonight we get another chance to see the Republicans in a debate coming from Florida...on MSNBC at 9pm EST. It is only 90 min though.
This debate is intriguing to me for a couple of reasons:
1. 9/11 Hero Rudy must be the clear winner since he has based his election strategy on winning Florida.
2. Will the Repubs take a cue from Hillary and Obama and tear into each other? Certainly McCain and Romney wouldn't mind throwing a few haymakers at the Huckster.
3. All you hand-on-your-heart Libertarians get to watch your hero in one of his last public appearances as a Repub candidate...will Ron Paul win the election? Will he be ignored? Will he get off to a strong start? In my opinion, Ron Paul starts the debates "slow and unfocused" but gets much sharper and on point towards the end of the debate.
Should be a good night folks!
Look for the topic of a "Gov't bailout of Homeowners due to Hurricane damage" be one of the big topics tonight...strangely for Repubs, Huckster and Rudy champion a Federal/Nationalized bailout of homeowners....sparks may fly over that--is that nothing more than a shameless ploy for votes?

Did anyone watch the WAckoes tonight? Geez...talk about "love fest in Florida"...not a single hint of a squabble or "****** mode" between anyone on the stage...I'm surprised the Huckster didn't go nuclear tonight. If he doesn't win Florida or get a second place...he is done.
I'd say 60% of the "time" was given to Mitt Romney who won the debate simply because he was given the majority of the time tonight. Ron Paul was given about 6 minutes in a 90 min debate. Tim Russert asked some tough, pointed questions...but he barely raised the emotion level beyond "composed boredom"....
The segment that was supposed to elicit "napalm bombs" was the direct candidate to candidate questioning segment and all that turned out to be was a softball, ticklefest between everyone on stage...

Yeah I saw some of it,they were boring lol.Only person they attacked really all night very much was Hillary, wow we would have never guessed that they don't like her and Romney especially "She is everything thats wrong with Washington",wonder how much he paid a consultant for that line.:1orglaugh

Thompson is out. Depending on which angle your viewing him from McCain can look like a liberal, a moderate, or a conservative. Some call it diversity... I call it pandering and indecision.
Obama and Hitlery... they're both halfwits who didn't see at the beginning that if they ran together two halves make a whole and they would have stood a much better chance. If they joined up now it would see way too hypocritical considering all the mudslinging that's been exchanged.

The field is getting narrowed big time after Florida.Even though Florida will have to fight to seat there delegates as they got punished for moving up their primary by both parties.The dems said they will not seat any of the delegates and the pubs cut them in half.But I think both parties will recognize the results soon and relent as Florida is too important a swing state to disenfranchise.
The winners in Florida were Hillary by a wide a margin and McCain by a good amount but not a death blow to the others quite yet.
On the democratic side it is now only going to be Hillary and Obama still standing after Edwards withdraws today.
On the republican side it is technically still going to be a 4 way race after Guiliani withdraws today leaving McCain,Romney,Huckabee and Paul.
Most think it is really the democratic nomination which is more in doubt than the republican one as McCain is now clearly in a very strong position as opposed to his main competeitor Romney.

I think the current poll choices except for Fred Thompson are about right.Thompson needs to be replaced by Mitt Romney and I guess some would like a "none of the above option".Would be nice if all the votes were wiped clean so folks could have a fresh vote based on the changed conditions.
