Dozens charged in U.S. college admissions scam

"U.S. federal prosecutors on Tuesday charged dozens of people in a years-old, $25 million US scheme to help wealthy Americans buy their children's way into elite schools."

"parents sent their payments to a non-profit charity run by Singer, who then sent back a letter saying the money was a charitable donation allowing the parents “to take a tax writeoff.”

Most "charities" and "non-profit foundations" are scams and often an illegal way corrupt rich aholes pay each other money, because entitled corrupt rich aholes don't believe they should pay taxes.

It's not left vs right, it's rich vs poor and middle class(soon to be poor).

There are countless loopholes in the laws that corrupt rich aholes abuse to avoid paying taxes.

Could Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman go to prison for alleged college admissions scam?

These Hollyweirdos are just two of the dozens of rich and famous (and not so famous) who have been charged with crimes in this massive cheating and bribery scandal. Apparently Loughlin's daughter, "social media star" Olivia Jade Giannulli, was too dumb (or lazy) to even fill out her college application. So Lori Loughlin hired a fixer to do it for the poor little thing... and she got into USC! Poor old Felicity Huffman had to post $250,000 bail for her troubles to get her little goofball into college.

Ms. Giannulli’s parents were described in the investigation as having paid multiple bribes amounting to $500,000 in order to have Olivia and her sister, Isabella, listed as recruits for the university’s crew team. (Neither participated in crew).

Ms. Giannulli has been a public presence for several years, thanks to her frequent social media posting. She was criticized in August after posting a video with the title “basically all the tea you need to know about me (boys, college, youtubers)” in which she said that she was only going to college for “gamedays, partying.”

“I don’t really care about school, as you guys all know,” she said.
(Translation by Rey C.: "I'm cute and my parents are rich. I'm real dumb. Hell, I go by the name Olivia Jade because I can't even spell my last name. But like I said, I'm cute and my parents are rich. So fuck you!")

Just another enormous waste of police resources.
For fuck sake there’s real crime to investigate.

You probably should pay some attention to things like this. Rich, entitled assholes paying their feeble brained kids way through life is how you end up with people like donald trump.

I think it’s certainly in poor taste but dedicating Law enforcement and choking judicial resources with this stuff when there is true violent crime in the world seems silly.
Also what about ‘the national emergency’......
Couldn’t help myself.

College cheating ringleader says he helped more than 750 families with admissions scheme

"They want guarantees, they want this thing done. They don't want me messing around with this thing," William Rick Singer said.

This shit doesn't only happen in college admissions, rich aholes buy their spoiled kids into or out of many institutions.

Trump avoided the military draft 5 times because his daddy bribed people to falsify Trump's medical records.

It's always been like this and will never change.

Ahhhhhhh... the Hollywood Crowd. Always wanting to make rules for us to live by that they don't intend to live under themselves. On the Twitter lecturing about White Privilege but using their Celebrity Privilege when not on their social media soap box.

This doesn't sound like you. At first I thought that you were being sarcastic.

Are you saying that white collar crimes shouldn't be prosecuted? Many of the charges in this case involve some of the same things that Manafort, Cohen and others are being charged with: mail, wire and tax fraud. I haven't heard about any violent acts being investigated by Mueller. Before that three ring circus is over with, I'm sure that hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars will be down the drain and hundreds of thousands, if not millions of man hours will have been expended. But crimes are crimes. No one should be above the law.

This rogues gallery that's forming is almost amusing, especially the ones like Loughlin and Huffman, who whine about privilege, class divisions, gender and income inequality ad nauseam. And what do they do? Use their celebrity, wealth and privilege to knock deserving kids out of a spot, so that their little "participation trophy" morons can cheat their way into some over-hyped college. To me, here's the truly funny part: once you get your first job, no one gives two hoots about where you went to school to get your undergrad degree. If you're going for a law degree, an MBA, masters in accounting or maybe med school - something specialized, yeah, certain name brands *might* give you a boost. But some of these little brats were apparently truly stupid. I mean, seriously dumb. Cheating their way into USC or through Princeton wouldn't make them smart after four years of taking bong hits and drinking beer. All these over-privileged chimps have done is teach their kids to take short cuts to get what they want (I'm sorry, what they deserve ).

No I absolutely think white collar crimes should be Punished but it just seems like there are other areas of this countries troubles that could use the focus of our limited resourses than this.
In the end I don’t think any of the things that will come out will be curtailed so what’s the point.

I'm starting to believe that it's not a coincidence that this came out just before Mueller is supposed to release hi final report.
If the MSM is talking about the college scam story, they don't have to report on more serious news.

The FBI and IRS agents who investigated these cases aren't beat cops charged with pursuing violent crimes. So it's not like terrorists or serial killers weren't being investigated because these cases were being investigated. I would say, instead of terrorizing some family farmer for not properly accounting for his fertilizer expenses or some store owner who mistakenly missed a quarterly filing, these blatant tax cheats and fraudsters are exactly the kind of people that they should be hunting down like rabid dogs. And I have full confidence that, if successfully prosecuted, this will scare the living shit out of the rest of Hollyweird and Wall St. A picture of [NOBABE]Lori Loughlin[/NOBABE] spreading her ass cheeks as she's being processed into Club Fed will most certainly dissuade others from rolling the dice to benefit their half-witted offspring.

From what I read today, a good half dozen of these "helicopter parent" mopes have already lost their jobs. The next step is for the kids (whether they knew or not) to be expelled for being admitted under fraudulent circumstances. Some poor kid from the 'hood is on a basketball scholarship and has a mom who accepts an Escalade from a booster. What happens in that case? Junior ends up having his scholarship yanked and gets sent home. That Olivia Jade girl is said to be dumber than a broken brick. At the very least, her narrow ass should be shown the door at USC. Absent mommy's fraud, she'd have been lucky to get into a community college.

Agree on every point.
But rich people buy their kids into all kinds of things and a course of life.
Jailing a few won’t make it stop and these people can afford excellent representation and will almost certainly never see the inside of a prison.
So in the end what gets solved???

With the shit storm that's raining down this week, I can all but guarantee that it'll be a long while before anything like this happens again. Hell, even people who never met Singer, but were associated with his company, are issuing denial statements today. And poor little Olivia Jade is now a former USC student. Will she be OK in the end? Yeah, probably so. She's got her fake tits in a vise today though. But she'll marry (and divorce) some rich guy or live off daddy's money til she OD's or drops dead. But for awhile she'll publicly stand as an example to others that they don't have a free pass just because of their wealth and/or influence. This is most certainly an effective deterrent.

Well, now that she's ex-USC and her endorsement deals have gone up in smoke (and mommy and daddy have to focus on their own attorney fees), looks like it's time for young Olivia to go ahead and do what we all know she's meant to do anyway: porn! :nanner:

And I'll be honest, I'd check out her first few scenes.
