Does Religion Influence Your Life?

Yes, it has an influence on my life. I have my own view on religion and tend to think for myself however. It wasn't from blind obedience.

fuck no, religion has never influenced my life and it never is going to. I was raised in a christian household but never ever believed in god or religion. i find a lot of the stuff in the bible, especially the old testament to be total b.s. and garbage.

I could right better b.s. stories then the ones that are in the bible.

and whats with all this b.s. about god forgiving everyone on earth, i find this very hard to believe as he would have a very very hard time forgiving people like hitler, osam bin ladin and fidel castro, any fool would never forgive them

Yes it has an effect on my life. It makes people vote republican, which in its own right is not necessarily a bad thing. But then those motherfuckers cowtow to the religious right by enacting laws criminalizing ******** and recreational **** use which in turn creates a draconian, fascist society in which freedom of choice is greatly suppressed in the name of duping those under the rule of government into thinking that their chosen leaders are actually doing something good for them when in reality they are only stunting the natural growth of humanity and prohibiting free thinking people from making their own decisions while ignoring the true nature of government which is to provide for the defense and security of the nation when, what we really got, is one fucked up society.

That's why all forms of religion are complete , IMO.

Ok, if that is so, then God has also taken everything out of my control because he has already set in stone what my life is going to be. So, if I ****** 300 innocent people for no reason, then it's not my fault. It's God's fault for making me do that. Yet, I'll still go to prison for the rest of my life.

Becoming religious is a person's last resort in finding a "meaning" of it all. Believing in God and the afterlife does nothing but give you something to look forward to when you die. IMHO, I find most, not all, but most religious people to be some of the most mentally unstable people on the face of the earth. They begin to lose comprehension of reality and replace their sanity with a system of beliefs that worships something that is completely make believe.

This is a very well known theological issue know as Predestination. It has been debated for ages and as far as I'm concerned the contradiction has never been resolved. The main answer seems to be God works in mysticism ways. Yea right.

Sure, then they throw in the "free will" thing. Again if god is all knowing he knew that free will would be used for evil.
Also if god created everything, did he not create evil and allow it to prosper?
If a fallen angel became the devil,,,, wouldn't he have as much power as god?
