Do you fear death?

I was having a conversation with a co-worker and this question popped up. I heard somewhere that the biggest fear among people is actually public speaking. You don't, however, have a lack of people who avoid the subject of death about as bad as Tiger Woods avoiding questions on whether or not his wife went upside his head with a 9 iron.

I don't fear what comes from death, which I believe is probably just ceasing to exist. But yes, I do want to preserve my life for a long time so long as I'm healthy and happy. I hate flying and carry a .45 on my hip. I'd be a liar if I said I'm ready to embrace death or willingly allow somebody to take my life from me.

You can be agnostic or atheist and not be a nihilist. So long as the heart's pumping, the neurons are firing and everything else is in working order, I'm grateful I get to witness this madness we call life on Earth.

I do because I haven't done what I've wanted to do with my life yet.
when I have the freedom to do what I want - life is awesome.
recently in my life I've had allot of bullshit, mostly by invasive assholes who have nothing better to do but live other peoples lives for them.
so I'm very guarded about my life.

In my case, that's true. And since I can avoid that, I can do somethng about it.

I don't fear death, but I don't look forward to it either... and I don't like the idea of a painful death or being sick for a long time before I die.
