Dust.

Re: What do you collect?

DVDs and CDs.

I used to collect stamps with animals on them when I was kid.

Do you mean with pictures of animals printed on them, or with dead bugs splattered on them? When I was a kid I would've probably been inclined to collect the latter.

Both, but mostly ones with pictures of animals. :1orglaugh

And I also used to collect ice hockey trading cards. I had a pretty nice collection and it was supposed to be worth quite a lot of money, but seems like no one cares about them anymore.

Chris Reeve makes very good knives, Al Mar makes very good knives too. I also have 1 Fairbairn Sykes British Commando dagger, 1 Linder Solingen GSG 9 dagger and a Herbertz Soligen combat knife. I am not a fan of Cold Steel, I prefer Chris Reeve designs. Check also Randall knives and Wilson Tactical, both are great brands.

I am however looking for an older gerber markII and a for the venerable buckmaster 184 both mint in box.

Nice equip guys ! ^

I have a few "Black Class" Benchmade • They really keep a sharp edge ! That and ergonomics . . . .and looks (in that order) ;) are most important to me.

These are my dream knives !

Some day I have to sit down and decide which one. It's a very difficult decision:dunno:

benchmade makes very good folding knives about the fixed blades I don't know. The best ergonomics and edge I find them on all of my old gerbers.
I am thinking of buying this folding knife http://www.gerbergear.com/family.php?id=3

Re: What do you collect?

I mostly collect shit that I get at work, mostly guitar picks. I have quite a collection of picks from different bands. I normally only keep the ones that have the artist's name printed on them, but sometimes I'll make an exception if it's a pick that I know for fact that it belonged to a certain artist. For example, I only have one white, unmarked thumb pick that I saw Joe Walsh drop next to his microphone before he walked off the stage. Another example are my Ted Nugent, Bob Dylan, and Brian May picks. They may not say the artist's name on them, but they're the only picks of their kind in my collection, and I saw the artist drop them on the stage before walking off. Currently I have about 200 picks in my collection. Some of the picks that I have include Billy Idol, Guns 'n Roses, Aerosmith, Alice in Chains, Velvet Revolver, Rob Zombie, Godsmack, System of a Down, Shinedown, John Mellonhead, Green Day, Jackie Green, Jonas Brothers, Pat Benatar, Thursday, Rise Against, Steve Miller, Night Ranger, Doobie Brothers, Black Label Society, The Eagles, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Megadeth, Poison, Train, Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, Black Crowes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bob Dylan, Marc Anthony, Ted Nugent, Sheryl Crow, Queen, Van Halen, Smashing Pumpkins, Black Eyed Peas, Deep Purple, Craig Chaquico, Jeff Beck, Down, John Scofield, Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Chesney, and many, many others.

I also collect some set lists. Not all the set lists that I find, as that would be quite overwhelming, but just for the bands that I really like. They serve as decorations for the walls in my room. I currently have The Police, The Rolling Stones, Smashing Pumpkins, the Cure, System of a Down, Beastie Boys, Cafe Tacuba, Aerosmith, Rob Zombie, Godsmack, Marco Antonio Solis, Deep Purple, Billy Idol, Green Day, Roger Waters, and several others on display in my room, though I might do a revision in the near future.

Oh! I forgot to mention show passes! I have a nice stack of show passes from the past 7 years that I've been working shows.

One thing that people think is weird about my collections is that I only collect things from shows I actually worked. I've had people offer me picks, set lists, crew shirts, and show passes from shows that I either didn't work, or was only present at as a patron, and I've turned them all down. Don't ask me why, but I just think that swag from a show that I didn't work doesn't have any merit, therefore no value to me.

Re: What do you collect?

It's been said if you have more than two of any one thing, technically it can be considered a collection.
...
This may take awhile.

Re: Do you collect. . . .

For me it's Flashlights . . and whatever happens to be the latest offering of batteries. :o

Thanks to LED technology, at least one thing has improved over the years and that is the ability to see better in the dark and the ability to do so for significantly longer lengths of time between battery charges.
The trouble for me is that I'm stuck with a box of dreary, dim, energy hoarding flashlights . . . pricey, dreary, dim, energy sapping flashlights :bawling:

My main ''go to'' light of the day is the Fenix LD20. It uses 2 AA ''penlight'' sized batteries (preferably the 2,000 - 2,700 mah NiMH variant rechargeable batteries) to power up the American manufactured Cree brand Q5 LED, which in turn offers a pleasant array of electronically regulated light variations:

9 lumens (71 hrs) - about 2 or 3 times brighter than any conventional cheapo AA battery powered incandescent flashlight
47 lumens (13 hrs)
94 lumens (5 hrs)
205 lumens (2 hrs)
+ SOS and Strobe modes

The strobe could just as well be used in spilt second personal defense situations as it produces a blinding bright white strobe effect of which could certainly impede a mugger and his ability to defeat you.

My comics, Hot Wheels, books, have a sweet collection of basketball and baseball cards. About 25 binders worth of cards; a lot of rookie cards of big stars still playing now. Coins both antique, gold, silver, and old paper money including a $500 and $1000 bill. I have a lot of stuff. I'm thinking about selling some things though. I don't know.

Hot Wheels, coins

Hot Wheels:
I wish that I hadn't smashed them with a hammer, put them on the RR tracks or burned them with a torch. I had many classic HW's from the seventies, the tracks, the loop the tire wheel cases, the works :crying:
. . . I however am the only one to blame :sniffle: :crying:

Coins: Silver . . Dollars - Barbers, Liberties 1.8 million of them . . or so it would seem :o
All common, mostly VG cond

Oh, I have an "Adventures of Buck Rogers" book from the 30's (I think) in superb condition. These are the types of books that when you open them a creature folds out onto your lap . . almost Ha Ha
