I used to collect - well, steal - Jokers out of card decks. But I'd only take one, never both.
I started doing it because people would always take out the Jokers before they play a game, never ever use them, but once one of them goes missing? They go ape shit. So I'd steal one of them because I thought it was funny. Eventually I noticed I had quite a varied amount of different styles and figured it was now officially a "collection".
But with the whole Joker thing in the Dark Knight, I figure I'll give it a rest because people will just think I'm doing it because of the film. Maybe. I dunno.

I used to collect pencil erasers. I don't have most of them anymore, but if somebody is going to start collecting things just to do it I suggest picking something that most people don't collect and that's cheap. You can really clean house that way when you have no competition trying to get your stuff.

I can't collect these in France due to retarded and too restrictive gun laws. However my whole gun collection is in the USA at my uncle's home locked in a safe. I added a third Gerber knife yesterday, the BMF. It is one big baby with a nice 9 inch blade that cuts great. I am thinking of adding a gerber markII and the venerable Buckmaster 184.
I can't collect these in France due to retarded and too restrictive gun laws. However my whole gun collection is in the USA at my uncle's home locked in a safe. I added a third Gerber knife yesterday, the BMF. It is one big baby with a nice 9 inch blade that cuts great. I am thinking of adding a gerber markII and the venerable Buckmaster 184.

I also collect knives. I have eight Al Mar, three Cold Steel, four Chris Reeve (great knives by the way) and three Balisong butterfly knives.

Chris Reeve makes very good knives, Al Mar makes very good knives too. I also have 1 Fairbairn Sykes British Commando dagger, 1 Linder Solingen GSG 9 dagger and a Herbertz Soligen combat knife. I am not a fan of Cold Steel, I prefer Chris Reeve designs. Check also Randall knives and Wilson Tactical, both are great brands.

I mostly collect shit that I get at work, mostly guitar picks. I have quite a collection of picks from different bands. I normally only keep the ones that have the artist's name printed on them, but sometimes I'll make an exception if it's a pick that I know for fact that it belonged to a certain artist. For example, I only have one white, unmarked thumb pick that I saw Joe Walsh drop next to his microphone before he walked off the stage. Another example are my Ted Nugent, Bob Dylan, and Brian May picks. They may not say the artist's name on them, but they're the only picks of their kind in my collection, and I saw the artist drop them on the stage before walking off. Currently I have about 200 picks in my collection. Some of the picks that I have include Billy Idol, Guns 'n Roses, Aerosmith, Alice in Chains, Velvet Revolver, Rob Zombie, Godsmack, System of a Down, Shinedown, John Mellonhead, Green Day, Jackie Green, Jonas Brothers, Pat Benatar, Thursday, Rise Against, Steve Miller, Night Ranger, Doobie Brothers, Black Label Society, The Eagles, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Megadeth, Poison, Train, Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, Black Crowes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bob Dylan, Marc Anthony, Ted Nugent, Sheryl Crow, Queen, Van Halen, Smashing Pumpkins, Black Eyed Peas, Deep Purple, Craig Chaquico, Jeff Beck, Down, John Scofield, Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Chesney, and many, many others.
