Well I think about USB/drive stick too. But then realised I'd have to get about four or five of them. As there memory size just isn't big enough.
A external hard drive is just too expensive to us as just a just in case back up.
Then I thought well most of my files are on disc already. So I just put the ones that aren't on disc too. When I got this comupter a few months ago. It took me only 2 days to have everything reupped and running properly. It would have only been a matter of hours if I wasn't working all round doing it. I do all my disc back up on a Saturday afternoon whike listening to the football.
