IT question: nuisance boxes

I picked up what I thought was a virus / malware early the week of 1/4. I finally bought a copy of Norton AV, and ran every scan. They all came up clean. I also shut down a few apps in my Start Up Menu. The "nuisance boxes" have become more infrequent, but they still "pop up." They usually occur "in twos / twice." I grabbed ~ 10 screen shots of them .. and the addresses repeat. They are coming from these two .. Indian locations:

Are these "just" nuisance / pop up boxes? I don't hear any hard drive spinning / being accessed. The credit card I used to purchase the Norton AV (apparently) hasn't been compromised.

I know of a local IT guy who I used a number of years ago. (SSD HD failed; had him partition my "traditional" HD and re-install Windows, etc.) I could contact him again .. "if I'm at risk / it would serve a useful purpose." It was not cheap; $100 to show up, and then $100 for the hour / the tasks he performed.

Thoughts?

Update: I got the “Konerko” issue Sun 1/5. With the AV SW coming up “clean,” I did a search on the web address within the Windows Notifications boxes. Ah, ha! Malwaretips.com had an .. article on it. It .. changes your browser setting to allow konerko.co.in addresses to post Windows Notifications.

These were large, in the lower-right of the screen. (In my screen-shots, I cropped the rest of the screens out.) So – pain in the ass you can't use the right-margin vertical scroll arrow. Nor access programs in memory. AND – for my Harem Girl games, many times .. challenges / skip buttons are located there!

Here is a summary of the .. problem:

It is a lengthy article, with .. reset instructions for the more popular web browsers. I scanned all the way through it, and towards the end were these instructions:

I used these instead, as I didn't want to potentially “lose” my favorites, etc. Tricky little suckers ..; I had to not only Deny them Windows Notifications, but they self-populated in my Allow box! (So, I edited my settings twice.)

So far, so good. Just did some COD: BLOPS for an hour, an no Windows Notifications boxes. As I'm preparing this Update – again, no Windows Notifications for an additional 20 minutes. Ahhhh – that ***** in Computer Applications paid off again!

You could just disable it at the IP/DNS level. I bereave you have a hosts.conf file, somewhere.
Used to be in windows/system or system32.
Open with notepad, paste the IP's, save and move along with your porning. :)
