Crysis 2

I wanna try out the multiplayer demo that comes out tuesday on xbox live.

I don't own an 360,so I'll just have to wait until release.

After playing the demo a bit, I think the game is pretty fun. It's nowhere near the best looking console game ever made but the gameplay is nice. Gameplay is always key and I get the feeling that it will be graphically best on PC, not consoles. Then again, I still haven't seen it on PS3 and the best looking games I've seen on that console is Killzone 2 and God of War 3. Those are exclusives, Crysis 2 isn't.

Although I didn't experience this, many players are having lag issues. One thing that I did experience is me having a hard time finding a session. After about 10 minutes the game would start up only to kick me out and I'd have to start again. It did this about 4 times but once I finally got in it was fine. I played 8 matches before I got off. Attempted to get back on and it's waiting game all over again. I read that only the PC version will have dedicated servers so this could be a problem for a lot of people.

Most people are describing it as Call of Duty mixed with Halo and I agree. I don't play Halo but it felt like Call of Duty to me. The cloak isn't gamebreaking because of the energy usage, so you won't see a bunch of invisible people getting the drop on you. The energy moves fast when you're cloaked and even faster when you're running. Try doing that together and see how fast you stay cloaked. I liked thermal vision but you have to really pay attention so don't mistake your team for the enemy.

I also like that in order to get killstreaks you have to collect the player's dog tag after you kill them. This, IMO, eliminates campers. Oh sure, you can camp but you'll never get your killstreak so you have no choice but to come out of hiding.

I think if EA or Crytek can iron out the kinks then this game could be cool.

That's the point of the beta.Just wish that they had on for the PS3.

I'm surprised at how toned down the graphics really are in the demo.

Maybe they are just trying to fine tune the actual game play, but that shouldn't make too much of a difference should it?

I heard that the game was ported to the 60 from the PS3.Maybe that has something to do with it.:dunno:

That may be, but I'm not aware of a recent game in which a beta has lagged substantially behind the final product graphically.

From the time I spent with the Beta this afternoon, it looks like another COD clone, just with a different engine, and less graphical detail.

No offense shayd, but I've noticed that you tend to compare almost all FPS to COD.

None taken. I have indeed, as the vast majority of FPS games to debut since around COD 4 have been based on the "feel" of that game. Specifically in this instance, it's almost a tit for tat copy (the demo anyway) of COD in terms of pacing, and most definitely in the seemingly arbitrary weapon damage.

cod4: modern warfare jazzed up a little almost verbatim. don't get me wrong, i liked cod4 and liked the demo, but the point of new games is to push forward, yeah?

to quote bowser from ocean's 13:
"..And besides, you don't run the same gag twice... You do the next gag"

Cyrisis is a great game, the campaign is one of the best I have played. Especially on the super soldier or super veteran whatever it is called.
