As per this topic, while the latest president has gained a bit of notoriety about it, it was actually the Trump administration's approval that got the ball rolling faster.

Trump approved 5 drilling pads. Biden took it down to 3 and gets credit for what is, for all intents and purposes.. a 10 year (or decades long) project, depending on how you look at the area and how long it has taken to get to this point. But it is part of all 3 presidential legacies of the last decade.

A further issue comes from just where it's at.
Alaska is no joke, and the population of the state generally doesnt go to the northern areas.

It is pretty much pristine. Ergo the green people are throwing a shit fit (as they do) but the Alaskans wouldnt mind the kickback from a booming oil economy and new blood in their state. Generally. I’m not sure on that. This petty charge may rally a few more people around Trump. Ron seems to be imploding a bit anyway as we learn more about him.

The Georgia and January 6 grand juries need to get their acts together. Trump’s attempt to influence vote counting and overturn the election result are much more serious.

Just watching cable tv, CNN, from Germany. It appears there is quite a bit of follow-ups once the parties face the judge...

Sure was a slow train coming, but I have to say... nobody can say this is a surprise. The DA etc. had to make 150% sure that the net is knit right so teflon don won't slips out this time, again.
