Donald Trump is not getting arrested and it's a joke that someone actually believes that blowhard DeSantis can even potentially win the presidency. Trump is really the only Republicans chance , although not a good one by much. I just hate the way DeSantis speaks and talks, man is that guy annoying or what?! I think it may be his voice but regardless is annoying! Trump is not better but at least Trump stands a chance in the mid west and in Nevada ! Nevada can go for a businessman. I want to investigate further into the idea that Trump fully repealed Dodd Frank though. I don't know if this is 100% true and I am seeing a lot of liberal leaning European types in here. Well just need more clarification on Trump repealing Dodd Frank as someone has posted above..

Not going to lie, I was actually rooting for him in 2016. It was cool seeing him take down the arrogant elites like Jeb, and then after everyone wrote him off on election day, when it became clear he was going to win, it was pure schadenfreude. And let's be honest, most people living outside of the US (& even some living inside it) were enjoying watching the absolute shit-gongshow for the next 4 years.
But now he's the arrogant elite prick that people want to see taken down, and it's more fun watching him flounder. Plus we need a new brand of crazy in US politics, and I think we can say they're pretty stocked up right now.

I hate to break it to you but the U.S. economy was quite on fire under Trump. I am for regulation and government intervention within reason but I also don't necessarily believe these articles being floated by Europeans on this board. I realize Y'all Europeans are definitely more slanted liberal and well the United States needs Republicans. I do believe Barack Obama tee'd up the economy for Trump , but still Republicans are good for the United States economy. To just cast a blame on the Trump administration for a bank that's really not that important such as Silicon Valley Bank is Ludacris ! If we just blame everything on one administration that is just not true ! It's like with Biden right now with the border , Republicans are wanting to blame him but this started with Bush , hell it started with George H.W. Bush. It keeps getting kicked down the road.
I would really like to say that yes Republicans are for de-regulation, but at the same time this de-regulation is sometimes needed in order for economy to boom more. This bank is not Lehman Brothers and it's not really all that big of a deal, but let's just blame it on the last administration and keep with the European slant while we are at it.

By no means am I defending trump, and he definitely deserves a good part of the blame.
But none of this was secret or covert - these we all publicly enacted bills. Is there ANY evidence that joe or the dems have been trying to anything about these "IEDs"? Were they clawing back the bank deregulation? Did then enact new train regulations?
You can't wage an election campaign about how your predecessor did a shitty job, then do nothing to clean up the mess he left behind. Or put another way:

Are you sure you've got this correct? Donald Trump continues to denounce Joe Biden and all Democrats on Truth Social with really deranged and bizarre speeches since he launched his 2024 campaign bid. He sees the glass half empty. He calls everything a "political witch hunt" ... only taking in his accomplishments. But he's lying ninety to ninety-five percent of the time. So he can't and shouldn't be believed. The MAGAts are like lemmings and they are following him off the cliff to sudden death. This is why I'd never vote the Republican line ever again. Then Trump caused the January 6th insurrection to overturn an election that he knew he lost with more lies and innuendo. He's a narcissist and a sore loser. A big crybaby. He deserves all the post Presidential lawsuits. I hope he loses all of them just like he did while trying to turn the 2020 Presidential election. When he went 2-53 in court -- great legal representation you got there buddy -- he knew he didn't have a rat's ass chance of winning in overturning that election. Most of his lawsuits were frivolous and that's why so many of them were thrown out. Many by Trump appointed judges. By the way, it all works out in the end. He hires the worst attorneys. He gets back at them by not paying them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting trump in any way, nor am I defending him. He deserves the blame he's getting for the consequences of the policies that he enacted.
But my comment has nothing to do with him. I just don't think it's right the we let joe abscond responsibility.
joe either was so incompetent that he didn't notice the laws/regs that trump enacted, didn't understand their consequences, or just didn't do anything about them. Or all three.
So unless I'm missing something, joe & the dems did nothing to claw back the bank deregulation or enact new train regulations. These weren't secret backroom deals by trump - they were publicly enacted law. Same with immigration - for all the vilifying of trump and restrictive immigration policies, joe is even doubling down on that with safe third country. And there are likely other "IEDs" out there which the dems still have the chance to fix, but seeing as how they were too inept to address the ones that are in the news, I wouldn't hold my breath.
So the long and the short of it is - as @Mr. Daystar said, both leaders are equally inept.

It's a simple analogy, the democrats (police) pass laws to protect most Americans, including conservatives, by regulating republicans/corporations (criminals) from abusing the system for personal profit at the expense of everyone else. It's impossible to know what Trump/republican "IEDs" will explode in the future. It would be very difficult to undo all the damage Trump/republicans did, mainly because the corporate "lobbyists" wouldn't allow it. So unfortunately we have to wait for each IED to explode to properly regulate again.
