Again, pointing out "flaws" with modern society is easy. It's not like what he's doing is rocket science or brain surgery. The correct question is "What can be done?" In a lot of cases, nothing. Trying to "fix" society usually causes more harm than the original problem, at least at the macro level. Real change comes from individuals, reflected in the way they live their lives and the choices they make.
He used to be more neutral. He was an expert as catching people off-balance, and showing things out-of-context. Once he decided to take sides, then that was that.
His "reporting" in Fahrenheit 911 was pathetic. He could have done a hell of a lot better job making his points. Instead, he made it about all sorts of things -- from the election to quoting soldiers completely out-of-context, so much so they were really pissed off when they were shown as being aligned with Moore's views. Moore also pries on people's ignorance of civics, such as law enforcement and federal v. state funding. If I was going to do a move on 9/11, I could have made so many points aligned with Moore's views so much better and with so much more objectivity than he did. Especially considering the intelligence, timeline and other details.
Instead, he looked like he was stretching, especially if you knew the full stories of the items he used, the people he interviewed, etc... It was so easy to discredit, and that was his undoing.
I liked it when he didn't take political stands myself and showed multiple sides with people out-of-context. But once he started showing only one side out-of-context, then it became some extremely "creative" journalism. I stopped listening when he started manufacturing the very news articles he'd reference.
I wonder why its easy? Because there are so many fucking flaws!!

Good point. I mean, look at California as an example. In one generation, it went from the Land of Milk and Honey to bankrupt. They serve as a warning for the rest of the US. As Margaret Thatcher once pointed out, "The problem with socialism is that eventually, you run out of other people's money."

This is what happens when naive people voted for a so called "fix it all" unexperienced wizzard that has very poor experience in politics and who hasn't done any good, nor any improvement has been seen and confirmed when he was the senator of his own state. Look at how economy of the US is in the shitter (and has gone worse) since Obama is president and no improvements. Some people wonder why other people hate the Obama's administration, it is just a blend copy of the Clinton administration but with bigger douchebags and ass holes like Nancy Pelosi, Billary, Emmanuel Rahm, Sotomayor and other bunch of incompetent idiots.

Heck, most of the insurance regulations started in the '60s. They completely hosed private healthcare altogether. It was no longer free market, but forced monopoly and, in some cases, extortion (at the hands of your employer).

Thus far, that's the dumbest, lamest "argument" against him and/or his films (although I don't doubt that the right-wingers could possibly conjure up something dumber - I just haven't heard it yet). As though there's a separate socialist economy operating in the US, in which Moore could live and work if he wished. (To make it crystal clear for you, people can critique the socioeconomic system of the U.S. (and the world, for that matter) and still prefer the country they live in and/or have a need/reason to stay in it - the old "love it or leave it" line is beyond dumb, and I won't address it here; it's not worth my time)
