Maybe if my fuckin PS3 would act right I'd enjoy the game. Survival is pretty cool, and with 2 people you can hang for quite awhile. Actually keep playing till you get bored it seams. Course I wouldn't know because somewhere around wave 14 my PS3 decided to quit reading the motherfucking disc!!!! :crash:

btw, fyi :crash: thoughts came to mind. Put the fucker out of my misery!

I'm glad I didn't buy MW3, multiplayer is really awesome and I'm enjoying the hell out of it but I can't see myself playing for more than a month. Once i return it, I'll have MW2 anyway and it's basically the same game. I think it's funny how people will back up Battlefield 3 so much just cause they hate COD, BF3 was pretty much crap and this is coming from a guy who loved BF Bad Co. 2. CODMW3 is way better than BF3, both single and multi player, in my honest opinion.

Thanks gamers for the first hand accounts of the game. It looked promising, Skyrim is on my way to me. Shame COD series didnt do anything new, would love to play it none the less tho'

I started the campaign on my 360, but only played for an hour and a half. On my buddies 360 we did the mission part of Special Ops and unlocked every mission that you can do. We didn't beat all of them, but we beat the first 8 that night. During two of the ops, the gameplay started to freeze up a little bit, so there is probably bugs still left in the game. it only lasted 5 sec or so, but since it happened twice, it is still probably a bug.

Have played both and MW3 is far better than BF3. The only reason why people like BF3 is because "it's more realistic". Sure MW3 is more like an arcade, but that's what makes it great. MW3 has a much more better game play.

Think that is also why I dont like COD as much anymore feels alittle arcady to me. War/military/tactical games I like them real as possible, not running around as if I were in Halo or Gears.

Plus Ive always loved the sound effects in BF. With the help of a good surround sound system they designed the sounds well to sound like a "battlefield"

They didn't really have too. It's a solid series and it just works. You can't find a better or broader online experience than the CoD series.

It took me 6 1/2 hours to beat the campaign, and that's with finding all the intel. I'd say it's a 5 hour campaign.

Just about completed the game on normal level and died a fair few times, only shooter I've played for the past 3-4 years is Gears so the combat system took time getting used to, especially the intensity of the battles which dominate the COD games. Still an enjoyable romp and some beautiful graphics, probably more show than gameplay but good nonetheless. Could not follow the storyline although I haven't played any of the other Modern Warfares yet.

It's taking me much longer than 6 hours. Though I have had to run a few missions more than once thanks to my shit PS3, still not even half way through. I'm seriously this close to pulling the plug on my PS3, just like I did my 360...

As for your stated problem. The campaign isn't what sells the CoD franchise, it's the multiplayer. While some here don't care for the MP, there are millions of people who do, hence their success with these games.

It took me 8 hours to beat the campaign and I still have to go back and play it on Veteran and find the intel. It's like Legzman said, CoD isn't about the campaign, it's about the multiplayer. If you're playing CoD for the campaign, then don't even buy it. Save your money and rent it.

A buddy and me got 3/4 of the way through the mission part of Special Ops in about 5 hrs. I have tried that and the very beginning of the campaign. I can't check out multiplayer cause I don't have live, but I never play multiplayer anymore anyways.

I have only seen the very beginning of Battlefield 3 being played and I think MW3 is better. To each his own I guess.

double this for me since I end up doing each mission twice thanks to my lovely PS3 can't read a fuckin disc issue at the end of each mission. Gonna take it to get repaired next week. I'll suffer through this weekend, and maybe next before I get it fixed though.
