I found the Modern Warfare series far better, story and multiplayer wise.

COD BO was a good distraction for a while, but got old fast.

As for Medal of Honour, what a waste of time. DICE should stick to Battlefield.

The biggest shift for the game appears to be in its breadth. We're told that Modern Warfare 3 will take place on a much larger, epic scale. It appears the game will explore the lead up to a blossoming set of engagements that could pull in other countries, creating a potential World War III scenario. The game will also feature large, urban destructible environments.

If they ever confirm the destructible environment thing, it'll top my must buy list! Possible WWIII set up for MW4 perhaps? with destructible environments. Granted rumored, but still...

Yes, just different perks and maps online. Which is one of the reasons it'll do so well. Also the mission story line will be a continuation of the previous 2 with slightly improved visuals and a tweaked engine, I'd imagine.

If this game didn't have killstreak bonuses in the MP,then I think that I would be more inclined to get it.

I wouldn't mind playing the single player,but there's absolutely no way that I'm paying 60 bucks for a 4-6 hour single player.

Looks like a rental for me.

I dunno, the MP on this game is probably one of if not the best online experiences I've ever had. I refer to MW 1 and 2, but I'd imagine 3 will be just as much fun. I heard the highest KS is 11 this time around. Maybe 12? Either way at least it's obtainable for me now. The 25 KS for the nuke was fuckin impossible! I just hope they make it so people can't abuse the KS like they did in the first 2 MW games. The care package spam thing in MW2 pissed me off to no end!

I hear ya about MAG. I was the other way. I started playing MAG after 4-5 months of playing MW2, lol. But once I figured out what I was doing, MAG was far superior. Even though I still prefer the "feel" of the weapons in MW series. Like you said, consoles aren't ready for such a game. Also given the fact that most people on PSN don't have mics which makes communication impossible for a team based game. Which further fuels the run-n-gun style of gameplay that most prefer. But when it comes to other shooters I'm a crouched player. I sneak around and blast people before they see me. I can't play rng style games with the rng style. I never developed twitch reflex thumbs as when I was a teen, fps were just starting to be developed and I didn't pick up on em till later anyway.

No mics will be nice though so as to not hear nearly as much bullshit in the lobby between matches, and whining about campers when in a game. Camping is part of the game. Fuckin deal with it. Yea it's annoying, but that's just how some people play.

Haven't played Call Of Duty for years but have pre-ordered the Hardened edition after being impressed by the trailer that seems to be on TV every half hour

Not sure how much I'll be playing it with Skyrim coming out three days after, though.
