yeah, not till spring on the map pack. That sucks,the game has been out awhile now. With battlefield bad co 2 and MAG coming soon,I'd put out a map pack in Feb if I were Infinity ward. Whats there to lose though,they already sold 444 trillion copies? There is money to be made on DLC however....

On another note, after reaching 70 prestige and staying there for awhile now,I have an insane love affair with the AK47. It makes a destinct sound when fired at us,Sir!

To prestige or not prestige, that is the question.

Is it worth it? I mean, loosing all the attachments I've unlocked? I mastered both the RPD and TAR-21 and those are my favorites. Right now working on unlocking everything for the AK-47. I guess I'll try it this weekend but I really don't want to loose the attachments I've unlocked, though it seems like it would be fun to go through it again with the experience I got, how are you guys doing after getting prestige mode?

Im gonna make a bold statement here Legz after this evenings play session......The Ak47 is the best gun in the game man. Thats right god damn it,I said it. However, it sucks on large maps such as Derail and Afghan. The good thing is,95% of the maps in the whole game suit the Ak47 fine.

If I had to die with one fucking gun than yes it would still be our beloved RPD with fmj and extended mags,but I will say this,the Ak47 has me getting out of sticky situations that I could never get out of before 2 times through now.

Countless times there would be 2 or 3 people in front of me,I'd get one then get waxed by the other two. Since Ive been using the Ak47,it aims from one enemy to the other at a quicker pace and the reload is insanely fast. Ive been able to pop 3 dudes at a time with that gun like no other.....Its still stock too,I have no fmj or extended mags for it yet.

Once you get to about lv 20 it gets a lot better. I for one love the claymores. I just plant them at random door ways and get kills more times than not with em. I don't remember when they unlock. 30 or 40 something.

Eh, I'll mess with it some when I get to lv 70 again. But I'm sure it won't keep me from prestiging again. Though I dunno. I did it once. Might just hang out at 70 for a bit and enjoy it...then again. If I do that then the game will lose replay value as I won't have ranking up to look forward to anymore. However, I'll have really fuckin cool toys!!!

I think this game needs a new mode or two with an update. The one I would love to see most is a "no RPG/grenade launcher/stinger/or any rocket launcher mode.....

Old school and nothing but guns and grenades. People abuse the fire power way too much sometimes,it can get annoying...

Killzone2 lets you do that and people like that playlist option the best...

My boy says he can make a bold statement with the M16 and kick your but LOL! no j/k really...the m16 has the highest Combined accuracy, damage, fire rate of all guns,,,,,plus me or him will get you everytime in 1 trigger pull, thats 3 bullets,,,now you know you MIGHT get 2-3 kills on one Mag and your outta bullets with that AK-47, not to mention that mofo goes sprayin all over the place when you pull the trigger, recoil on the auto's suck, M16 is the Only gun he(or me once in a blue moon) can dominate the whole game with(without dying and getting more ammo) and not needing to go scavenger hunting for a new gun with ammo 2 min into game!!....Now Im not saying its a bad gun because my boy can carry it and still win easily too, Im just saying he dies a lot more when he carries AK-47..because like i said he ends up looking for a gun after a few kills or so, kinda messes up getting your killstreaks goin too!!

Ok i think your going a bit crazy there, i dont think he will dominate a game with the M16, does he play hardcore or core? if its core then maybe he does, i dont play core so i dont know about the damages and that, but if he plays hardcore i doubt he owns all the time.

Plus the recoil on the AK only flies around if you keep your finger on the trigger, short bursts are more effective with any gun than long trigger holds. Personally i think the 3 round bursts guns are horendous, i only like the Raffica pistol.

I now use the acr silencer with a javelin, marathon cold blooded pro, ninja pro.I find this too be good to use. I can get 20 kills easily. Also whenever the enemy gets a uav,jammer,heli ect they know its going straight down to earth and i think it damages the other teams confidence.

the javelin can be fun. You have to make an educated guess when locking onto a structure instead of moving enemies. When you wipe out a group of dudes,which is few and far between, it feels rewarding.

Yep the RPD has terrible recoil when you hold the trigger. But a couple light bursts and you'll drop em like flies!

what do you mean with volume? You used to play muted? I prefer to have the volume up. Easier to hear footsteps near you, explosions and gun fire in the distance. I can't count the number of times I've heard footsteps behind me and turned around only to take out someone trying to sneak up on me. The sound in this game is amazing! The only time that doesn't always work is on estate. Can't distinguish between footsteps upstairs or on the main level.

Im saving up for a nice surround sound system at the moment which should help out tremendously, i played at my friends once who has surround sound and its cool, especially when your not sure where the shots coming from or where the footsteps are.

surround sound is priceless. Don't skimp on the cost though. Spend a little more and you'll be glad you did. Or don't listen to me and buy a $140 piece of shit like I did. I've upgraded since and I appreciate it a lot more now!

I got the Triton 5.1 headset w/ voice chat. Fuck turtle beach or the other brands,Triton is the pro shit. Youre right Legz its priceless,hearing footsteps around you gives you a beat on the bad dudes.

Problem with a surround sound system is that the bluetooth headset or whatever you got,picks up the sound and can disturb your friends. Thats why I dig the Tritons cause they give the game sound in 5.1 and your dudes chat all in one headset. Sweet quality too, I doubted till I bought em.....

im with you on this one...even though i have a turtle beach X31 headset. i likw how they describe surround sound on the turtle beach website. you can have a 5.1 surround sound system but you have an earpiece in one ear kinda making the surround sound useless. the headsets like tritton and turtle beach are the way to go. i like the turtle beach i have but when i saw the tritton my friend has, made the turtle beach look like junk. needless to say, im getting a tritton

yep thats why im saving up to buy a good quality system, i wasn't thinking of the headphones as such, i was thinking about the speaker systems, have 1 in each corner of my room, two near my TV ect. Plus i can use it for when i watch DVD's and such too, and maybe a little porn :thumbsup:

I don't use it for people, 9 times out of 10 i use it for aircraft.

Yea i often get a few kills, im not great at remembering map names but the snow map i use it to get campers from hundreds of meters out, very fun.

I used to play with my muted with my ipod. I found i really enjoyed it. It doesn't really make much difference because of the way i played, i used the knife with a auto pistol, not tactical, and fast moving perks. It didn't make a difference. The sound is amazing your right, its so realistic. I harldy ever get killed from behind im very aware of that kind of thing.

Makes a huge difference, so will you hear footsteps from behind you if its surround sound? does it work like that? actual footstep sounds or gun fire from behind and whatever is happening infront of you, you hear in front?

well it all depends on where you put your speakers, if your sat on your settee/sofa, and you have a speaker on each side of that, then 2 speakers in each corner in front of you, then the rest directly infront of you (depending on how many speakers you use) then yes it can make a huge difference! especially in hectic matches like Scrapyard, im not sure if it would help much on Rust as that is just crazy, but 95% of the time it will help you out.

never thought Id say this but, sitting here at 70 prestige and not leveling up anymore sucks....I think Im gonna kick it with another level up,it makes the game worth playing a hell of alot more.

This leads me to my idea I had for the game......I think there should be leagues here,in the vain of how Nhl 10 does theres. Free for all,Team deathmatch(anybody can join/random teams),Team deathmatch(organized clans) etc. The game keeps team standings,win/losses,team kill count etc for you with divisions and all that shit. How cool would it be to keep count of how many free for all matches you won,put it all in a league,winner at the end of season gets a shit ton of xp's.

Nhl10 does this great cause you go in,see whos online,then play the game for your league. Maybe have lobbies designated for the leagues. This would make it fun even when you're not leveling up,its something to do. Even if the world stopped after one run to a level 70,a league system would be great regardless....
