Hey I really do appreciate the details (sorry....just skimmed the article this morning on my way out) but I still feel like the Pack made out. Otherwise, they were optioning to pay Brett $20 million to stay at home from the reports I heard. He's in the AFC.....they get a decent draft pick no matter what and the Jets assume his contract. Winner: Green Bay.

I'm so tired of this story already but with Favre in NY the media circus will undoubtedly go on. I've lost a lot of respect for Favre for the way he handled himself through this. There ain't no "I" in team but I think there is one hidden somewhere in "Favre".

As a Packers fan, I blame both sides here. There's no doubt the organization pretty much just gave him the finger back in March, but then he starts the "they don't want me" shit after he decides to come back and demands a release.

It was certainly a good deal for the Packers though. They will never have to face him as long as he's with the Jets (unless NY can make it to the SB :rofl: ), and there's no way in hell NY will trade him to Minnesota now since GB will get a crapload of draft picks. It was smart dealing. However, I feel sorry for Brett. The Jets? Imagine the chaos if he has a bad season or they don't make the playoffs. Going to NY was a bad idea in more ways than one.
