By baguette you mean another Frenchman's cock, oui, oui, he gots a full calendar.

Aside insults not a single valid argument, keep the insults out of the debate. When someone criticizes the leftists and their idiocy, you can't handle it, it is not with such out of the reality leftists candidate like Bernie than you win a presidency. Remember none likes socialists in the USA.

Don't you have a baguette to go eat or something?

Don't you have your beloved sanctuary cities that you should bother with???

Will the Democrat Convention become a brokered convention?

If neither Bernie nor Biden can get to the magic number, how are they going to settle it?

Looks like Biden will have the numbers, but Bernie has the passionate supporters. Will the kids supporting the Bern just stay home if he's not the candidate?

This kid might. I don't know. I'm now an undecided voter. Every election these squishy "moderates" get pandered to because they threaten to vote for the other side and therefore feel that they need to be catered to by the candidates. Well it's my turn now. Biden needs to win my vote. And he needs my vote. He's not building the Obama coalition because he's missing a core demographic: young voters. He needs to win me over. Because if he doesn't I just might leave my ballot blank

Bidens numbers are obviously fake. The guys about as inspirational as Egg Noodles with Ketchup.
Will the kids still vote?
The majority of younger Bernie fans probably won't , but those who do will probably not vote republican.

This is why young people are backing Bernie. This has been my entire adult life. I don't have time for the moderates and their incrementalism. I've waited long enough. I need Medicare for All. Now. I need student loan forgiveness. Now. I need the Green New Deal. Now. You might not agree with this but this is what this generation is going though

And see, that's why, even though we aren't in agreement, I do have respect for you. You believe and you're sincere. Over the years that I've read your posts, you've done more than just throw tantrums here - you can actually verbalize what you're for, not just cry about what you're against. Same with Bernie. I don't think most Americans are with him (apparently not even most Democrats), but I think that Bernie and the Bernie followers are really "down with it" - and I think that the Dem establishment and the Clinton machine fucked him (and you folks) over last time. But let's take a peek behind the curtain... I just don't see the Dem check-writers at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan letting it happen. But you fight on. Seriously.

Add at least ten years for that to be accurate, Gulf War I was from 8/1990 – 2/1991 and it's been a state of perpetual war ever since. I graduated high school in '92, there's never been any sustained length of normal in my adult life, either.

I'm the same. I respect people who are truly sincere in their beliefs. Even if I strongly disagree with them.

Americans are down with Bernie. His positions poll very well with the general public. But once again he got ratfucked by the establishment. It started with Clyburn endorsing him in SC. Then Klobuchar and Mayor Pete drop out and quickly announce their endorsement of Biden. That's followed quickly by Harris, Beto, and on and on and on. You think all that was just by coincidence? But I never expected the establishment to go down easy so this was in some way predictable. So kudos to them.

But I'm not going to sit here and tell you that Bernie ran a flawless campaign. He didn't. There were some things he could've done better. He didn't go on the attack against Biden because he genuinely liked Biden as a man. That hurt him. He didn't find a way to both attack the "establishment" and at the same time have a message that could broaden his base. That hurt him. It was reported that AOC had to prod the campaign to broaden their message so as to win over those outside of Bernie's base. These were all misses by the campaign. So that's it now for Bernie. But I'm hopeful that someone else will come along and pick up the mantle of Bernie's political revolution.

Broad question: what's the way forward for the Bernie supporters now that he's officially out?

Will they get behind Biden or just sit this one out?

I think that vast majority will absolutely see the biggest issue:

It is less important who wins against him, but Trump has to be elected out of the WH

Nope. I've made my decision. I won't be voting for Biden. I'm sitting this one out boys. I live in IL so the state is going to go blue. If I lived in a swing state I'd probably vote for Biden

They've targetted by Bernie and Warren for monthes. For 3 years now Hillary blamed Bernie and his voters for her loss. Despite the fact that Bernie worked his ass off to get her elected and so did his staffers.
But Hillary's a cranky old bitch who can't admit that she lost. To her, there's got to be someone who caused her the White House. It has to be Bernie and the "Bernie bros".

And now it looks like history's repeating itself : Bernie faces a former member of the Obama administration, the DNC and the medias are campaigning against him, he loses concedes his defeat and immediately after that, Hillary staffers throw a celebratory party and lash out at his staffers.
Even Jill Biden rejoiced.

Nobody thanked him, nobody congratulated himfor his campaigned, they all celebrated his loss and lashed out at his staffers and voters.

I don't think that's the kind of behaviour that will get Bernie supporters to back Biden. Actually, if Biden's campaign would want to convince Bernie supporters not to vote for him, that's the kind of things they would do.

I can already hear Trump popping up champagne bottles...
