What do you mean "worth it?" You gain nor lose nothing by saying it.. Personally, I say both: "Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays" or "Happy Chanauka and Happy Holidays" to my Jewish friends.
But on the flipside of that, I don't understand or get along with people who take themselves seriously, and that includes people who seem to search for things to be offended about. If you chose to be offended by what is obviously just a well wishing, then you're an asshole, or at least a crabby person, and I won't be around you long enough to wish you a Merry or Happy anything

Who knows? I don't have a set amount of days until I plan my "exit strategy." Nor would I have time to, I've been literally shooting 5-7 days a week all year round (except that little vaca we ALL took, thanx to Mr Marcus)

No, you're right, there's nothing wrong with saying it. I just don't understand the idea behind it. People (from what I've heard) started saying "Happy Holidays" because other people were getting offended by everyone just saying "Merry Christmas", even if they didn't celebrate it. I just don't quite understand the reasoning behind the idea that people need to change what they say to not offend others, but it's still okay to advertise Christmas everywhere and on everything, starting from October until December, but not acknowledge (or that much) other holidays. It just seems counterproductive to me, that's all.
In any case, I wish you a Happy everything and will gladly take whatever you're offering in return.
