I bought a 65amp "reconditioned" Bosch alternator. When I removed the regulator I noticed the brushes were just "repaired" since I saw soldering was used to replace the brushes and the brushes were not the same height. I took a brand new regulator (one I bought a week earlier) and replaced the repaired one. But I noticed the alternator does not spin as smooth as the reconditioned one. Should I use the brand new regulator or leave the repaired one on?
