And its only getting worse, that my feelings anyway, some might not agree with that, but in my humble opinion the police state is getting closer and closer into coming into being. Alarmist? Maybe......:dunno:

Try living in the country, there's no such thing as police. Downside is there's no ambulances or fire engines either.

You give us Bermuda...we'll give you back Georgia.

Atlanta Speedway? Throw in Talladega and you've got a deal. :wave2:

I already repd you and the "system" wont let me until...hmm...I guess whenever the system allows me to. You'll have to stay awake until I'm allowed to rep again. Maybe Friday Morning? Can you make it til then?

Does the fog get that bad over there like a lot of stories you read have it or is that just a myth?

Not really, well, not in my part of the country (London) I remeber a year or two ago some planes had to be grounded because of the fog. But thats it, its not an everyday experience.

It probably occurs more often around the coastal areas.

^Oh good lord...You Might've just had your passport yanked!

Hope not, im planing to flee after I've stolen the crown jewels in february 09. Damn! Now who can lend me a boat? I'll give you 1% of the loots profits. :D

Newcastle Brown Ale, I remember liking that  But I really have no idea it could be cats piss in a bottle and I'd probably drink it.

[QUOTE I remeber a year or two ago some planes had to be grounded because of the fog. But thats it, its not an everyday experience.

probably around the 60s weather was more extreme back then and there were some very dense fogs .. 3 feet visibility etc...
But from the 70s on the weather has evened out, winters are mild and grey ( just like the summers )
Also the farmers have been busy draining the land
so theres less surface water to form fogs.

High pressures ( which are the source of severe frosty weather and hot summer weather etc ) don't seem
to form or hold like they did in the past.
So now our weather is bland..... all the year round
( a bit like the TV )

Me, Im right here

Scone, but I like a bit of crumpet from time to time ;)

Some people love it, some hate it. I like it

The reason there are no commercials is becuase, the programs are paid for by the general public. Every year you pay a license fee which covers all of the BBC network, which includes the other channels and the radio stations.

So as the public is paying for the programs their is no need to sell comercial time to pay for it.

It sounds strange but I think its a good system, now if only something was good on
Top Gear?

Also, is the license fee just a fancy tax?

Sure, I'll bring my boat. Oh wait I gotta buy one first. Hey, wanna front me the money for a new boat so I can help you get away with the loot? Oh, and a passport, and clothing, food, and accomodation while I'm there? Oh also, I think im gunna need a nice fancy car to chauffer you in after we escape by boat. You know, just in case they catch on to the boat.

Oh and maybe a nice little supply of fine wines and champagnes as well. That would really help. While your at it, you may as well get me a personal masseuse so then I can work out the stresses... Yeah, I think that's all I need. I'll let you know as things come up.

Yes!!! Fine, whatever!!!

It's more asking a favor than asking a question...

Can you send Bernie Ecclestone to an asylum so we no longer hear about him?

Don't quote me on this, but I think it's something to do with Napoleon being left handed, so he walked on the right side of the road to stop his sword banging into people (Brits walked on the left, as you say most were right-handed). So maybe all these countries drive on the right just to prove they are not part of the British Empire, which was pretty huge back in the day (you will notice "friendlier" countries, like Japan and Australia, still drive on the left). It's just a well known theory, I don't know if it's really true. :wave2:
It is something to do with swords. When troops marched alond a road ,they marched up the left of the road so that their sword could be drawn quickly to face the enemy if attacked.
