Any UFC fans present?

In my opinion I think right now the titles are in the right hands of the right opponents. Some of the greatest hold titles. The heavyweights are kinda not up to par and I don't think Brock is one of the greatest but he is pretty dominant. You can put in a good arguement that Penn, GSP, Lyoto, and Anderson Silva deserve to be called some of the greatest.

You're absolutely right. All the belt holders are head and shoulders above their respective weight classes. I think only Machida has any legitimate competition. I guess you could say Silva as well since he's taking on two weight classes.

I mean the way Penn beat the breaks off of top notch fighters in Sean Sherk, K-Flo, and Now Sanchez he is freaking awesome.

Penn is one of the greatest fighters of all time. He will only lose (at 155) when his body gives out. He's too good for the rest of the field. It took a freak athlete and world class fighter to keep Penn from owning the lightweight and welterweight belts for a long time.

I agree totally with you. I don't see anyone defeating GSP for as long as he can hold up. I don't see anyone doing the same to Penn. Nobody can really touch Silva in the 185 class but I think if giving a rematch Dan Henderson may be that guy if any to do it. You are right, Machida could be beat. I think he is the best in 205, but Shogun almost had him, even Tito was a slip of a choke hold away from making him tap. When you fight in a class with fighters such as Rampage Jackson, Shogun Rua, Forrest Griffin, Rashard Evans, Ace Franklin, Dan Henderson, Tiot Ortiz, Wanderli Silva, Brandon Vera hell even vets Chuck Liddell and Randy Coture your hold on the title might be a shorter life span than the other weight classes.

BJ pretty much has his weight devision locked. I don't see any current fighter taking him down.

Anybody catch the card last night? It gets a big "meeeeh" from me. Nothing really spectacular, nothing really dreadful. Whatever.

Dan Henderson signed with Strikeforce. Opinions?

Rashad Evans will now fight Rampage in May I believe. UFC 113. The same card as Machida/Shogun 2. Winners will each face each other for the title.

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
I just watched "The Prodigy" dispatch "The Nightmare" (on spike TV) with relative ease, I knew Penn was a world class fighter, but he doesn't always COMMIT himself to the mission, that said, when he applies himself he's certainly BadA$$.

Well, the real reason I dropped in to share my :2 cents: is, that had to be one of the SICKEST FUCKIN CUTS I'VE EVER SEEN, I am of course talking about the cut on "The Nightmares" forehead! that was one of the longest, widest & deepest cuts I can remember seeing. I am not squeamish or anything, & I was like DAYYYYYYUM that's NASTY.:uohs::eyeso:

We need to bump this thread...where have my MMA fans gone?

I hate it that Dan Henderson left UFC.

Cain Valesquaz is a bad azz! I'm going to say this...he will take down Brock...one day!

Truth. Cain is a badass. I heard people refer to him as "The Heavyweight Version of BJ Penn"

A matchup between him and Brock is inevitable.

Random MMA thoughts:

Cain "The Terminator" vs. Brock is money

I hate watching Big Nog take a beating but Cain is the real deal.

Crocop looked OK against Hippo but he says he was taking it easy on him cuz he took the fight on short notice while many other turned it down.

George Sotiropolouse looked awesome against Joe Daddy and I can't wait till he fights another contender like Maynard or the winner of Griffin vs. Dunham.

Aldo vs. Faber is going to be sick, so is Torres vs. Benevides (sp?)

Can't wait for Overeem to fight in the US again and I happy it's supposed to be against Brett Rogers, though I was hoping for Fedor.

The only person I see giving BJ any problem is Shinya Aoki, but then I think about it and BJ would just stop any takedowns and beat the hell out of Shinya face with way better striking.

I really don't want to see BJ vs. Gomi again. Especially after Gomi's recent decline.

BJ vs. Fitch at WW would be a war.

i love it, george sot is the man, i didnt get to see his fight on tv cause i was there live but i wanted to know did you guys hear much during that fight? cause we were screaming our heads off during that fight

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
I appreciate you guys talkin UFC while I am on hiatus, I guess I am a little more than a casual fan while allot of you know allot more about the UFC then I do.

I like watching fights, but for the most part I follow the big name fighters,NOT all of them mind you. I don't like allot of fighters, either cuz of personality, lack luster performances, or just them fighting one of the fighters I do like.

Well that said, I know I am switching gears a little, but I just found out, MY dude from the WEC Jose Aldo is scheduled to fight Urijah Faber. I am like totally siked about that fight, I liked Faber because of his unique and exciting unpredictable style, and I have been REALLY impressed by what I've seen from Jose Aldo, Aldo seems like he has the talent, & power too beat Faber, but I am unsure who wins that fight! Mike Brown had Urijah Fabers #, and Jose Aldo handled Mike Brown pretty easily! is Aldo to fast and strong for Faber?

I know its not the UFC, but this gonna be one hell of a great fight!!! like a Penn / St. Pierre type fight, both fighters are awesome. I think Aldo is my Favorite fighter outside of the UFC. so I will pick Aldo to UPSET Faber. I know brown beat Faber 2 times, but Faber is a phenom in his own right. so if Aldo wins the guy enters the realm of being considered the GSP of the WEC. what do you guys think? :dunno::2 cents:

I think Aldo is going to smoke Faber. Aldo isn't in a different league than those guys, he's on a different planet.
