I mean the way Penn beat the breaks off of top notch fighters in Sean Sherk, K-Flo, and Now Sanchez he is freaking awesome.
In my opinion I think right now the titles are in the right hands of the right opponents. Some of the greatest hold titles. The heavyweights are kinda not up to par and I don't think Brock is one of the greatest but he is pretty dominant. You can put in a good arguement that Penn, GSP, Lyoto, and Anderson Silva deserve to be called some of the greatest.

I agree totally with you. I don't see anyone defeating GSP for as long as he can hold up. I don't see anyone doing the same to Penn. Nobody can really touch Silva in the 185 class but I think if giving a rematch Dan Henderson may be that guy if any to do it. You are right, Machida could be beat. I think he is the best in 205, but Shogun almost had him, even Tito was a slip of a choke hold away from making him tap. When you fight in a class with fighters such as Rampage Jackson, Shogun Rua, Forrest Griffin, Rashard Evans, Ace Franklin, Dan Henderson, Tiot Ortiz, Wanderli Silva, Brandon Vera hell even vets Chuck Liddell and Randy Coture your hold on the title might be a shorter life span than the other weight classes.
We need to bump this thread...where have my MMA fans gone?
I hate it that Dan Henderson left UFC.
Cain Valesquaz is a bad azz! I'm going to say this...he will take down Brock...one day!
Penn is one of the greatest fighters of all time. He will only lose (at 155) when his body gives out. He's too good for the rest of the field. It took a freak athlete and world class fighter to keep Penn from owning the lightweight and welterweight belts for a long time.
I appreciate you guys talkin UFC while I am on hiatus, I guess I am a little more than a casual fan while allot of you know allot more about the UFC then I do.
I like watching fights, but for the most part I follow the big name fighters,NOT all of them mind you. I don't like allot of fighters, either cuz of personality, lack luster performances, or just them fighting one of the fighters I do like.
Well that said, I know I am switching gears a little, but I just found out, MY dude from the WEC Jose Aldo is scheduled to fight Urijah Faber. I am like totally siked about that fight, I liked Faber because of his unique and exciting unpredictable style, and I have been REALLY impressed by what I've seen from Jose Aldo, Aldo seems like he has the talent, & power too beat Faber, but I am unsure who wins that fight! Mike Brown had Urijah Fabers #, and Jose Aldo handled Mike Brown pretty easily! is Aldo to fast and strong for Faber?
I know its not the UFC, but this gonna be one hell of a great fight!!! like a Penn / St. Pierre type fight, both fighters are awesome. I think Aldo is my Favorite fighter outside of the UFC. so I will pick Aldo to UPSET Faber. I know brown beat Faber 2 times, but Faber is a phenom in his own right. so if Aldo wins the guy enters the realm of being considered the GSP of the WEC. what do you guys think? :dunno::2 cents:
