But apart from that, at least one of those seats could be filled by now by a man that even Orrin Hatch, the most senior Republican senator, suggested would be a fine appointee - Merrick Garland. That is until Obama actually appointed him, at which point Hatch and the rest of the Republican senate showed what truly truculent little children they are by refusing to even grant Garland a hearing
