Ted Cruz has a news conference scheduled for an hour from now to announce Carly as his running mate

I hope Trump picks Carson. That Rubio bridge is long since beent burnt and it's timbers are at the bottom of that body of water in the movie True Lies. I think it's called the atlantic or the gulf? Not sure what the locals call it. The carribean? Whatever, that blue shit.

Dammit Ted. You don't pick running mates unless you are the nominee.

Ted has made a few tactical errors in the past week that concern me.

That SOB let that bitch go down and just went on with his biz of waving. So much for the great respect ^^

They just called Indiana for Trump. Two weeks ago Cruz had a lead but after heavy campaigning he lost 15%. To know Cruz is to hate him.

CNN is reporting that Cruz is dropping out.

Yes Ted Cruz just said he is suspending his campaign.

Now in the next 6 weeks Trump needs to heal the party, so I guess the real moderate Trump will come out, and making his "angry" supporters even more angry.

^ Good luck with that. The only way I would pull the lever for Trump is if I see more leftist - fueled riots. He is going to get slaughtered in the general election. I always knew there were a lot of stupid people in the Democrat Party. Sad to see there are a lot of stupid people in my party as well.

Yeah, latino kids dropping the f-bomb, flipping people off, the American flag being burned and the Mexican flagged waved around only helps Trump's cause. He may get slaughtered or he may landslide that bitch (in both senses). There's many a slip twixt ... oh whatever, you know the rest.

Yeah I hear people saying that, but I just dont see it. Where is his path? Mitt Romney won whites 59-41. That's better than Reagan if Im not mistaken. Romney won white millenials by 7 points. He won white women. There have been polls showing Trump losing white millenials to Hillary by 20 points. You think he is going to do as well with white women as Romney did? Where does Trump make up the gap? If Trump doesnt improve his standing among minorities, (which I dont think he can in 6 months), he would have to win 70% of whites. He is going to need a lot of minorities to not show up (not likely with his stupid David Duke soundbite being looped around for 6 months), and he is going to need a lot of white working class people who either usually dont vote or usually vote Democrat. I just dont see it.

In bold, I think that right there is key. Trump has shattered the record for number of votes received in a primary season and that was weeks ago. He may not win, but he has expanded the party. Pennsylvania of all places, may be in play thanks to white working class people who normally vote democrat or don't vote. Then there's the enthusiasm gap between he and Hillary. As much as folks hate Trump, turnout is expected to be lower among dems than in 2012 and significantly higher for the GOP.
