Bertens completes Cinderella run to Fes title
Kiki Bertens completed her fairytale week at the WTA Fes event by beating Spain's Laura Pous Tio 7-5 6-0 in the final.
The Dutch qualifier amazingly went into the tournament without having won a single match on the WTA Tour but now has a first title to her name.
Similarly Pous Tio was a surprise finalist having just one WTA match victory to her name before this week.

Azarenka sets up Sharapova final
World number one Victoria Azarenka enjoyed another walk in the park against Agnieszka Radwanska, beating the Pole for the fifth time this year to reach the Stuttgart Grand Prix final.
Australian Open winner Azarenka next faces world number two Maria Sharapova after the Russian beat Czech Petra Kvitova, the Wimbledon champion, 6-4 7-6 in their semi-final.

Top seed Gilles Simon made it into the final of ATP Bucharest with a straight sets (7-5 6-2) victory over Matthias Bachinger.
Simon will face Fabio Fognini in Sunday's final after the Italian ended the dream run of Hungarian sensation Attila Balazs in the other semi-final, the world number 450 losing 6-3 6-1.

Nadal to meet Ferrer in Barcelona final
Top seed Rafael Nadal blasted his way past Fernando Verdasco 6-0 6-4 to set up an all-Spanish final with David Ferrer as he homes in on a seventh Barcelona Open title.
Third-seed Ferrer will be making his fourth final appearance after surviving two tie breaks to triumph 7-6 7-6 against big-serving Canadian Milos Raonic.

Rafa Nadal became the first player in the open era to win two tournaments seven times when he fought off tenacious Spanish compatriot David Ferrer 7-6 (7-1) 7-5 to win a thrilling Barcelona Open final


Simon seals Bucharest hat-trick
Top seed Gilles Simon clinched a hat-trick of titles at ATP Bucharest with a straight forward 6-4 6-3 win over first-time finalist Fabio Fognini.


Sharapova stuns Azarenka in Stuttgart

Russia's Maria Sharapova beat world number one Victoria Azarenka 6-1 6-4 in the Stuttgart clay court final on Sunday to claim her first WTA tour title of the year.
 
Errani wins third consecutive title
Top seed Sara Errani triumphed in straight sets over Elena Vesnina in the final of the Budapest Grand Prix.
The Italian beat her Russian opponent 7-5 6-4 to extend her winning clay-court streak to 15 matches.
World number 27 Errani has now won three clay titles in a row after successes in Acapulco and Barcelona, and won 21 consecutive sets on the surface.


Kanepi fights back to win Estoril Open
Estonian Kaia Kanepi beat Carla Suarez Navarro 3-6 7-6(6) 6-4 to win the Estoril Open.
 
Del Potro wins Estoril Open
Top seed Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina beat second seed Richard Gasquet of France 6-4 6-2 to win the Estoril Open.

Seppi wins Serbia Open
Second seed Andreas Seppi of Italy beat Benoit Paire of France 6-3 6-2 to win the Serbia Open.

Kohlschreiber claims Munich title
Fourth seed Philipp Kohlschreiber beat third seed Marin Cilic 7-6(8) 6-3 to win the Munich Open.
It was his second title in Munich - he beat Mikhail Youzhny in 2007 - and first of the season.
 
Defending WTA Madrid champion Petra Kvitova crashed out with a 6-4 6-3 upset to fellow Czech Lucie Hradecka in the second round.
Rafael Nadal brushed aside Nikolay Davydenko 6-2 6-2 with consummate ease to ensure he progressed through to the third round of the Madrid Masters.
 
Former world number one Serena Williams set up a quarter-final meeting with Maria Sharapova at the Madrid Open with a convincing 1-6 6-3 6-2 demolition of sixth seed Caroline Wozniacki.

World number three Roger Federer had to use all his guile and experience to battle back from a set down to see off fast-rising Canadian Milos Raonic 4-6 7-5 7-6(4) in the Madrid Open second round.
 
Janko Tipsarevic produced a superb display to dump reigning champion Novak Djokovic out of the Madrid Masters with a 7-6 6-3 quarter-final win.
Rafa Nadal suffered his first claycourt defeat in 23 matches and threatened to boycott next year's Madrid Masters if officials did not ditch the blue clay that players have labelled "too slippery" and only fit for "smurfs (to) play on".
 
Australian Groth hits record serve
World number 340 Sam Groth has entered the tennis record books with the fastest-recorded serve in the history of the sport.

The 24-year-old Australian, who stands 6’4” and weighs just shy of 15 stone, was competing at a second-tier tournament, the ATP Challenger event in Busan, South Korea, when he thundered a 163.4mph serve (263kph) past opponent Uladzimir Ignatik of Belarus.
Groth’s monstrous serving display included another measured at 157.5mph, and a third at 158.9mph – each faster than anything ever recorded on the ATP Tour.
The previous record was held by Ivo Karlovic, who sent down a 156mph serve during a Davis Cup tie between his native Croatia and Germany in 2011
 
Williams blitzes Azarenka in Madrid
A fired-up Serena Williams sent out a warning to the young pretenders of women's tennis when she powered to a crushing 6-1 6-3 victory over world number one Victoria Azarenka to win the WTA Madrid Open.

It was the American's second title of the year after her success on the clay at Charleston last month and her 41st singles crown overall, putting her in joint 13th on the all-time list with Belgian Kim Clijsters.


Federer claims third Madrid title
Roger Federer hit back from losing the first set to claim his third Madrid Masters title courtesy of a 3-6 7-5 7-5 win over Tomas Berdych.
Federer overtakes Rafael Nadal in the world rankings. He is up to second spot with Nadal dropping to third after his surprise loss to Fernando Verdasco earlier in the week.
Federer is the first man to win a tournament on the controversial blue clay and joins Nadal on 20 in the list of winners of Masters titles.
 
Sharapova to face Li in Rome final
Defending champion Maria Sharapova will take on Li Na of China in the WTA Rome final after a confident 6-3 6-4 victory over Germany's Angelique Kerber.


World number one Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer in straight sets and will play Rafael Nadal in the Rome Masters final for the second year in a row.
Defending champion Djokovic ended Federer's hopes of back- to-back claycourt titles with a gutsy 6-2 7-6 victory over the Swiss.
Five-times Rome champion Nadal wore down fellow Spaniard David Ferrer 7-6 6-0 to reach his 70th career final.
 
Rafael Nadal regained the Rome Masters crown from Novak Djokovic with a 7-5 6-3 victory.
The title - a record sixth in Rome for Nadal - also returned the Spaniard to No.2 in the world rankings after Roger Federer displaced him a week ago.

It is the second win in a row for Nadal over Djokovic - the last being in the final of the Monte Carlo Masters - after seven straight losses to the Serb.

The Spaniard won the tournament from 2005-2007 then in 2009 and 2010. Last year he lost in the final against Djokovic.
 
Radwanska to meet Halep in Brussels final
Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska booked her place in the final of WTA Brussels with a 7-6(8) 6-3 win over Kaia Kanepi of Estonia.
Simona Halep will meet Radwanska in the showpiece match in Brussels after she overcame Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden 6-4 6-3 in their semi-final.

Nicolas Almagro destroyed second seed Gilles Simon 6-1 6-3 to reach the final of ATP Nice.
 
Spain's Nicolas Almagro retained his Nice title with a comprehensive 6-3 6-2 victory over American qualifier Brian Baker.

Second seed Francesca Schiavone claimed the WTA title in Strasbourg with a 6-4 6-4 victory over Alize Cornet in the final.

Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska claimed the WTA title in Brussels with a 7-5 6-0 victory over Simona Halep in the final.
