Did anyone else watch that USA v. Nigeria basketball game? Holy shit. USA wins 156-73 (83 point margin and highest point total in Olympic history), the team shot well over 70% from the field, had 41 combined assists (Olympic record) made 29 3-pointers (Olympic record), Melo hit 10 3 pointers and had 37 points which is a single-game record for an American. If the Americans had just used their "3-pointer points" they would have won by 14. Unbelievable, everyone was on. Great game to watch.

Fuckin' NBC.com. They started the coverage late for the Mens 50m Rifle, Prone event. I managed to see the last three shots. Assholes!

At least I got to see Martynov shoot a 10.9 and make a new world record. Congrats to him.

Back to NBC. They're not showing the qualification rounds to anything, todays coverage started into the match, and the idiot commentator was blathering away during the scoring. What a fiasco. I'm so fucking pissed at this travesty of a network/website.

Yep, that's one of the good things about being a Canuck where I live. I have seven channels with different coverage, while most folks couldn't care less about that, as a raving sports nut I love it.

Now, back to the complaints. Once again, NBC.com refused to show the qualification round so, to the viewer, this wasn't a 3 Position event. The finals were standing position of 10 shots only. This sucks my ass. I was really looking forward to seeing more of this event. I'm more and more disgusted by this travesty of a network.

are you using a converter box plus a signal booster? im using one and have one of those cheap signal boost antennas that plug into the wall.

granted, its still near impossible to get your your channels without fucking with it all day but, without the booster antenna, it would be impossible for me.

i dusted that shit off for the olympics.

you can get a cheap one at walmart for sure. they look this sorta. mine has a dial for the amount of boost.

For some reason the local NBC affiliate whom I got good coverage before drastically reduced their coverage area over the state once the digital switchover happened. I don't know if they thought they could get away with less power going into their broadcast because it was digital or what, but something I got clear before doesn't even reach out to me. It's not that there is a weak signal, but pretty much no signal to get or even boost.

It doesn't help that more people have a dish or cable now so they don't have to give as much of a damn about people that still receive their broadcast over the airwaves.
