I doubt either one will cover the spread.

Damn. Ohio State was losing at home to (unranked) California at home, but they just went ahead by 7.

I always love to see Ohio State lose.

Edit: California just tied it up. Joy!

Dammit. Well, Ohio State wins by 7, but wouldn't have, if Cal hadn't missed three fucking fieldgoals. Ohio is over ranked, and I hope this game brings them down in the rankings somewhat.

Wow. Pretty decisive win by Notre Dame tonight. They looked like a different team from last week. First win against a top ten ranked team in 9 games. No idea what the rest of the season will look like, but the Irish look pretty damned good right now.

Embarrassing. It was like Rudy showed up, carrying Joe Montana, Knute Rockne, and the Pope on his shoulders. Bleeeech.

It looks like everyone else is playing for 2nd place place after Alabama routed Arkansas yesterday.

AP Rankings are out. Some interesting things here. Notre Dame jumped 9 spots - way too much of a jump, if you ask me. They're over-ranked. We'll see what they do with Michigan next week. I also think Florida St. should possibly be #2. I know they haven't played terribly challenging teams, but they have only allowed 3 points total in the first three games.

I will be looking forward to the Florida St. - Clemson game this weekend to see how they do against asome real competition ( no offense to Wake Forset)

did any of you guys see the pitt cinn game? i have seen a lot of football teams in my time..after watching that game...i am convinced i have seen highschool teams that could have beat pitt that night. was VT drugged? drunk? surely to GOD they are not that awful. and Arkansas may want to consider women volleyball ...no one can be that sorry???:dunno: the only team bama has played is michigans QB... no kool aid yet.........

still no kool aid for me yet...i wanna see a few more things...bama looked good...but so did fla st...if bama is good as they seem..and florida st covers 14.5 against clemson....we got a race.......

I agree about ND being over-rated Dirk, although I still suspect they were travel weary for the Purdue game.

It figures: I was in love with Florida State and Mississippi State LAST year :1orglaugh
Took a serious beating to the pocket book when Clemson beat FSU.
I'm sorely tempted to take the Tigers and 14 1/2, but if I do it pretty much guarantees they won't cover :1orglaugh

This weeks three team parlay: Arizona State (- 6 1/2), Missouri (+11) and Kansas State (+15)

A lot of great games tomorrow. I somewhat agree about Notre Dame, they have to beat Michigan in order for me to be sold on them. However if they keep winning you have to give them the high ranking considering they have literally the toughest schedule in college football this season. I'd love to see the Fighting Irish on top again personally.

I'd love to see them on top again, too. And, I think this coach might get them there. Well, if not on top, then at least relevant, and a regular top ten team. I'd be happy with that. And you're right about their schedule. If, by some miracle, they manage 8 or 9 wins this season, I'd say that's just huge.

Michigan-Notre Dame is a defensive slug-fest. Irish on top near the half, but not decisively.

Very poor showing by Michigan State - the score may say one thing, but they barely beat Eastern Michigan today. They were behind for most of the game. MSU might not be anywhere near as good as people gave them credit for.

UCLA, ranked 19, lost to unranked Oregon St. Not much of a surprise, frankly. I don't think UCLA deserved to be ranked.

USC is pretty soundly beating California. I think they are the real deal this year. LSU is losing to Auburn in the third quarter. :O

Oklahoma is losing to Kansas state in the second quarter. :O

Florida and Clemson are tied in the second quarter.

Fun football day.

I said it months ago and I'll say it again, Missouri is going to get murdered in the SEC. Welcome to old man football. :D

Roll Tide!

Notre Dame 13
Michigan 6

So happy to see the Irish finally able to stop that glorified running back Robinson. 4 INTs, 1 fumble.
