Don't worry. There is still a Chance the Cubs will have one of their patented late season loosing streaks.

I wonder who they will blame it on this time?

Daniel Cabrera getting ejected for hitting A-Rod tonight was total BS.

You said it. I hate when umps get over-anxious about things like that. It certainly seemed to me that it was just a pitch that "got away". The guy kinda was a little wild previous to that, but nope...he gets the quick hook...

The Yanks lost and have now lost 3 in a row after winning 8 (9?) straight.
My Mets are up 1/2 game on Philly after their win today.

Daniel Cabrera never had the greatest control, but its a no name Oriole hitting Alex Rodriguez Ciccone. Thats an automatic ejection on Cabrera and the Orioles get fined $500 million, which in turn goes into A-frods next paycheck.

Oh, that's nothing. Once again this year, the fucking Jays get off to a promising start, only to fuck it all up somehow and end up the same as every other team in Toronto (Save the Raptors): Too bad to get in the playoffs, not bad enough to get a good draft pick. I miss the days of the Expos. Back in the day you could at least choose which shitty team you wanted to watch.

(Sorry for the random rant.)

Blue Jays are one good Offense of player away from being in it. They are above 500 and only what 6-8 games back?

I think they should wait it out this year and find a good bat in the off season. Could be Manny for all we know.

I just wish my A's would hit the ball. It's one thing to be having trouble hitting safely, but we've got about two weeks with about 9 strikeouts a game.

Get Big Frank in there ASAP!

Yeah, but they have been like that practically every year since they won the World Series. They never do it. If they want an offensive player, sign Bonds. He's not doing anything.

I guess you forgot about the Rays.

 Beat me to it. I'm no Rays fan in particular but I would love to see them edge out both the Yanks AND the Red Sox. Barring that, I'll take the Yanks. ANYBODY but Boston.....

I like our chances over the Rays considering a good chunk of their last 30 games are on the road, and they have trouble winning on the road. However, if they make the playoffs and the Yanks dont then I have to say go Rays. How could anyone not root for them, it's definatly a feelgood story. But I can't see them beating New York or Boston(God forbid) in the longrun.

I'm still not used to the words "Tampa" and "first place" being used in the same sentence. I never thought I would see the day. Guess the name change did them good.

Getting nearly a decade worth of top five draft picks didn't hurt either. I've heard that Longoria kid is pretty good but who knows :dunno: :1orglaugh

shayd when the a's get 19 baserunners and score 3 times you know your team is slumping. sounds like manny is going to be a marlin, with some of those players flipped to the pirates for jason bay.

The Reds have agreed to trade Griffey to the White Sox, but he needs to waive his no-trade clause, FoxSports reports.
