Some pics.... There was a farm where they "humanely" raise geese and duck for foie gras. This is a salad of foie gras on toast over greens with roast duck. Without question the BEST salad I've had in my lifetime. Simple dressing of local mustard and creme fraiche with lemon and local walnuts...

Just left Paris for Lisbon yesterday in the nick of time before the shooting! What a weather change! It was in the high 30s low 40s in Paris and Lisbon is in the 70s and humid! I had some outrageous food and photos to post for you blokes. I also found the place I'd like to live. See you soon!

Made this for my son the night he came home for spring break. leftover prime rib sliced thin and tossed in a skillet with bacon drippings and onions, topped with Gruyere cheese and served with a side of homemade Au Jus.

Yesterday was Sophia's 15th birthday. I got her at 7 weeks old what seems like a lifetime ago. She has flown over 100k miles with me. She is deaf and only has 1 eye and her feet don't work too well anymore, but she's going strong. I foresee a sweet 16 party for next February :)
