I'm planning my summer travels and have carved out 2 weeks in June to visit some parts of france to which I have not yet been, mostly medieval . If anyone has any suggestions based on personal experience please let me know. I have been to Champagne and the Luberon region and those parts of eastern France. This trip will be to the Burgundy region so I'm looking at Flavigny-sur-Ozerain as well as Beynac-et-Cazenac I am trying to find a vendor that will take me by boat from Bergerac to Beynac-et-Cazenac on the Dordogne river.

any suggestions would be appreciated ;)

Wow sounds like a superb holiday. I've not been to the areas you are thinking though my parents have. They spend 2 months per year travelling in France every year. As far as parents are concerned the Dordogne they love it.

I ended up finding an incredible apartment in the village of Beynac-et-Cazenac in a 900 year old building. As well I'm renting a car and pretty much following the river starting in Bordeaux and going east from there. I am staying in Sarlat-la-Canéda which has an indoor food market that is said to be incredible and it being France I imagine it to be true.
In Souillac I'll turn south and end my trip in Toulouse. Overall 11 days in France. I booked a 4 day stop in Lisbon on my way home which I am very much looking forward to. I have a thing for Portuguese food and girls as well :)

Thank you for your reply. Lots of video to come :) xxx

Here is something I am experimenting with in various ways:

Puff paste, which very convenient is on sale at the supermarket in full size of a baking tray, you just roll it out on baking paper, you fix what you have in mind, and bake it at 180° celsius.

These are with pieces of corned beef, a spoonful of salsa sauce, and a bit of mozzarella. Of course, you have to cover the unbaked pieces with egg, so the crust gets tastier and does not crumble away.

You can also just roll mini sausages in puff paste, that is called "Würstchen im Schlafrock" (literally: "Sausage in a Sleeping Gown")

Totally tasty

sounds great! I'd like to see a pic as I think others would as well!

That can be arranged next time I make it ;)

In the mean time here is another tasty treat I like cooking:

Melt 30g Butter in Pan/Wok with 2 chopped Garlic cloves

When sizzling Add:
1/2 a small Onion
2 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Shaoxing Rice Wine
1 Tbsp Soft Brown Sugar

(Cook for 2 mins)

Add 100g peeled uncooked Prawns

(Cook in sauce for 2 mins)

Then add:
4 Mushrooms quartered
1/2 Red Pepper cut into squares
1/2 Carrot sliced into strips
100g Broccoli cut into small clusters

(Cook for a further 2 mins)

Add:
2 Tsps of Chinese 5 Spice
1 Tsp of Crushed Chillis

(Cook for another 2 mins)

Serve with Egg Noodles
