Sports Teams That Should Just Go Away

What do you guys think? I can think of several NHL teams, a couple MLB teams, NBA and NFL teams as well. Without trying to offend any of you who are fans of these teams :D:

For starters:

FL Marlins
FL Panthers
MN Timberwolves
LA Clippers
AZ Diamondbacks and Coyotes

Is there a rationale here, or are we just naming teams that we don't like?

I suppose either way is fine. As you can see from my list, these are teams made up of completely lousy fan support. In the case of FL I just think them having 25 professional sports franchises is just crazy. Is it the retirement community they cater to, or what? Two NHL teams, three NFL teams, a couple MLLB teams and a couple NBA teams is STUPID.

Oh yeah, on that note I forgot the Jacksonville Jags. Didn't all their home games get blacked out last year?

The Pittsburgh Pirates are an absolute joke. They haven't had a winning season in 17 years. The last time they had a winning season was in 1992.

The bottom four teams in terms of attendance the last few years have consistently been the Pirates, Athletics, Marlins and Royals.
But, I'd like to keep them. Hell, need someone for the other teams to beat up.

Damn near every professional team in Ohio. The Browns can stay because of their classic jerseys.

The Chicago White Sox.

The Oakland Raiders. C'mon... give L.A. their team back already.

The Atlanta Thrashers.

The Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Oklahoma City Thunder. One of the shittiest team names out.

The Charlotte Bobcats. *see above

The Cubs are 3-9 against the Pirates this year. That's how far we've sunk. Go team, high five... :(

Have to agree with the Pirates. Like the Royals, however, the Marlins do have a world championship, as much as it pains me to say that. I can't stomach watching Marlins highlights on ESPN only to see five people in the outfield stands. I'd prefer to see the Rays get tossed, as a really good team with shitty support, but their new stadium is on the way, as is the Marlins' new stadium.

You have a point though about needing teams to beat up. The AL Central is composed of has-been teams now: Indians, Sox, Royals and Tigers (sort of), so the Twins can now take the division every year (and I know they are tied right now with the Tigers, but they are too good to lose it down the strech).

The Marlins have 2 World Championships. Get it right.

The White Sox? Cubs fan perhaps?

Chicago Cubs. I'm not a White Sox fan, but ...well. I'm watching Cubs right now and Cinncinatti are ****** them 13-3 in the bottom of the 8th.
Sadly, this is not rare.
