Total Nonstop Action wrestling thread

The best part of the whole show last night was when Hogan gave Abyss that ring, that was funny as hell!

That's the part that made me turn off TNA. When I first started watching TNA Abyss was a ***** to be reckoned with, now he's a baby.

Update on Rumors Concerning Jeff Hardy's Wrestling Status
by Nick Paglino
Feb 19, 2010

Several readers have sent in emails noting that Jeff Hardy has teased in a YouTube video with his ******* Matt that he might be heading to WWE, TNA or Ring of Honor and that he is still a "free agent." However, if you watch the video, the ROH line is clearly a joke. His ******* Matt then updated the situation by posting the following on his Twitter page: "For the record, Jeff HAS NOT signed or obligated to any company-FACT. The ROH line was a joke, watch again

Although Jeff does tease in the video that he might be heading back to WWE, WrestleZone was the first to exclusively report last week that his current plan is to head to TNA assuming he clears up his legal issues.

Jeff Hardy Update - Returning To TNA - Pissed At WWE

As reported on earlier here on TNAWrestlingNews.com, Jeff Hardy is currently shying away from any wrestling commitments until his trial was over.

Hardy, who goes to trial on March 17th, was contacted by an international wrestling promotion and told him that due to his indictment he was not allowed to leave the country until his legal issues were resolved.

We can also now confirm that Hardy has decided to go to TNA full-time once/if he is able to clear up these issues. It should be noted that North Carolina **** laws are very strict so we'll see what happens once the case gets going. That could get interesting.

We're told one of the reasons he made this decision to return to TNA instead of a return to WWE was for both the easier schedule and the fact that WWE had CM Punk do a certain segment on TV mocking him after he had been arrested. TNAWrestlingNews.com can also report that he was said to be really pissed off over that angle and it was definitely one of the reasons he showed up on the January 4th TNA Monday night iMPACT! telecast.

Mike Tenay Worried Backstage - TNA Wants Jim Ross

Eric Bischoff is still intent on bringing Jim Ross into TNA as an announcer. After many months of speculation as to what he'd do when his WWE contract expired, Ross signed a short-term extension back in December and is expected to be with WWE through mid-2010. That said, the face of the pro wrestling industry is sure to change this year, with TNA going to Monday nights on March 8th, so who knows what the future holds. It should also be noted that TNA pushed hard to recruit the WWE hall of famer for iMPACT!'s three-hour live show on January 1st.

With that being said, Mike Tenay, who has been with TNA since day one, is said to be paranoid over his position with the company due to the fact that people within the organization have attempted to recruit Jim Ross as his replacement. Although it should be noted that Tenay is considered by many in the company to be paranoid in general, but the company's shift in power has made him more leery than usual.

Jim Ross!? Let's turn TNA into WCW even more. :crash:

TNA was a decent company. Now it's a joke.

TNA still has great wrestlers, some of the best in the world, and now they are all going to job to Orlando Fucking Jordan..........

Ridiculous.

Now I just read that they are going to eventually keep going with the bisexual angle just to push the envelop and counter WWEs PG with a hard TV14. TV14 is great but no one is going to dig this angle.

TNA Officially Signs a New Talent; Former WWE Star?
by Nick Paglino

TNA President Dixie Carter posted the following on her Twitter account this afternoon: "TNADixie: TNA signs one moore." Given the way "moore" is spelled, it appears as if Shannon Moore has officially signed with the company.

Eric Bischoff: The Six-Sided Ring

Whose decision was it to abandon the six sided ring? It was one of the key things that made TNA unique.."Four Sides of Steel" just doesn't have the same ring to it..it gave guys with quickness and speed, such as the X Division guys, room to create some excellent matches..the current ring looks really small, and somebody is going get hurt at ringside.. I DVR TNA Impact and watch it during the weekend..and I enjoy the Flair/AJ angle..Flair is finally being used to full effect..wondering why Jeff Hardy is not on TV..that signing was absolutely critical to the future of the company..having him avaliable at tapings is essential.

Eric Bischoff: Not everyone agrees with the move to a traditional wrestling ring, but I must say that the vast majority of the response we have received has been positive. I hope there are enough other "positives" about TNA to keep you watching! EB

Bring back the six-sided ring! :cussing:

Hogan and Bishoff can leave. Take Orlando Jordan too.

The vast majority of the response has been positive?

They really don't listen to the fans, do they?

They sure don't listen. Remeber a few weeks ago the article about TNA telling their fans how to act and taking away their signs.
They just don't care.

If that continues it's over for WCW/TNA.

With all the talent they are holding back now, why did they sign Shannon Moore?

Is Samoa Joe going to be jobbed again? :crash:

Report: Update on TNA's Frankie Kazarian & Suicide
by Nick Paglino
Feb 21, 2010

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that since Frankie Kazarian has returned to playing himself on TNA TV, he is no longer playing the Suicide character. However, he has been playing the character at TNA house show events for the past week or so despite other reports claiming that he is completely done playing the role. From this point on, Kazarian will remain as himself on TV, and several other TNA talents are being considered to play Suicide from here on out. TNA does plan to continue running the gimmick.

Update: Who Is Playing 'Suicide'?,

-- The part of 'Suicide' at this weekends TNA house shows is being played by Frankie Kazarian. Nobody has yet been chosen for the role, which will be kept, but several people are in contention. One of the students from Team 3D's school played the part at the iMPACT! tapings this past week as we noted earlier here on TNAWrestlingNews.com.

Chris Jericho Takes Another Shot At Eric Bischoff

After winning the World Title last night at the WWE PPV event, Chris Jericho took the time to post a little something for Eric Bischoff, who previously said Jericho was talented, but shouldn't be top of the card

"Wow, World Champion for the sixth time. This could never happen in TNA!"

:1orglaugh

Bischoff needs to **** up, as does Hogan.

Holding back young talent is not helping wrestling.
They just need to leave TNA.
