Yeah, I heard a lot of the talk about twitter "censorship" from our own right wing nut jobs yesterday, as well as all that **** from mccormack.

Michael McCormack is deputy prime minister (VP, basically). Scott Morrison isn't as bad, he's a bit more diplomatic at least, but he is a climate change denier. Then you've got retards like mathias cormann, our finance minister for the last 7 years who is a huge reaganomics pusher. We've even got MPs (minister of parliament = cabinet member) like craig kelly who have been publicly pushing the "antifa did it" line. Jump on youtube some time and watch anything by sky news, it's as insane as anything carlson or hannity could come up with. In fact it's probably more in line with OANN or newsmax.

Sadly, America doesn't have a monopoly on stupid, we've got our fair share over here too, if a little more ******. For example, our right wing would never ***** of trying to cut healthcare. They suggested a $5 co-pay several years back and Australia responded with a hearty "bash it up your ass" so they quickly abandoned that idea.
And like the democrats so often do, our left wing (labor party) keeps getting distracted from the real issues and shooting itself in the foot, a lot of the time because they let the right control the conversation.

But the insanity of trump and the republicans emboldens far right wingers everywhere, that's why it's a concern to all of us.

I've suspected for a long time, though the opinion has been unpopular, that war is the only resolution here. These people are not prepared to rejoin society, and they're not going to realize the error of their ways. It's been 5 years since I lived in the states and you could feel the tension building then, I can only imagine what it's like now. I'm not a war lover, and I don't think one side is going to quickly and easily dominate the other, but I don't think there's a peaceful resolution to where the US is now. If anyone's got any ideas, they certainly seem to be keeping them secret.

If it does go that way, I hope all the people I respect here come out of it ok, and I hope the traitors lose convincingly.
