Damn i'd love to have a view like that. Country side/natural views are nice, but i'm a sucker for a city scene like that.

You might know about this site that I came upon a few years ago when trying to find info on Last of the Summer Wine;

A lot of good aerial pictures and tidbits.

Some of this could go into the Google Earth thread. :dunno:

Wow this really brings back memories!

Last June, I was in front of the Brandenburg Gate with about a million of your fellow Germans and others... watching Germany vs. Argentina on the screen right in front of the gate...

And that night I played soccer on the excellent 6 a side artificial facilities RIGHT in front of the beautiful Reichstag by the river, at the Fanpark with people from all over the world, for hours. It was amazing... what a night.

You're lucky to live in such a beautiful city, Berlin, one of the greatest cities on the planet! Ich bin ein Berliner!?!

Fox

Thank you dude!

That must be where H.G. Wells is from? Bromley, Kent?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.g._wells

The original film was supposedly Brown's Mills, New Jersey.

I know of the exact locations used in the new Tom Cruise version. My friend had a business around the corner from the bridge behind Tom Cruise's "house". I've been through there many times. He also knew the owner of the house and the story about Spielberg renting it. The church scenes that everyone runs to at the beginning of the attack are actually across the water about 5 miles away.

Hell i worked in Bromley Glades shopping centre
And in Jeff Waynes version Primrose Hill Is in Huddersfield
Small world eh

The infamous Texas State Penitentiary in Huntsville, home to hundreds of executions with a lot more to come if our illustrious governor gets his way:

The old electric chair "Old Sparky" (cute name!) now on display at the prison museum. Lots of men (mostly black, hispanic or poor) were roasted alive in it:

Now, we're a lot more civilized so we just put 'em down with the needle:

I really have no idea. Are we looking at the Pacific Northwest here? Or the Bay Area? Vancouver? Some other town in British Columbia? No idea.

Damn man, you are on the right track...:D
