This is worth posting:
War of the Worlds statue in the centre of my town. As i've mentioned loads before, the original story was based in my town (Woking) The only part of my area thats even worth looking at, to be honest :1orglaugh

Damn i'd love to have a view like that. Country side/natural views are nice, but i'm a sucker for a city scene like that.

The original film was supposedly Brown's Mills, New Jersey.
I know of the exact locations used in the new Tom Cruise version. My friend had a business around the corner from the bridge behind Tom Cruise's "house". I've been through there many times. He also knew the owner of the house and the story about Spielberg renting it. The church scenes that everyone runs to at the beginning of the ****** are actually across the water about 5 miles away.
