Monday Night Raw Results

Carlito def. Victoria
Kane def. The Heart Throbs
Shawn Michaels def. Snitsky
Chris Masters vs. Chavo Guerrero (no-contest)
Daivaridef. Kurt Angle (count-out)
John Cena def. Shelton Benjamin

Kurt Angle vs. John Cena in a first ***** match will headline RAW next week. Shelton's 'Mamma' will also debut.

It is interesting to note that Jerry Lawler cut in at the two minute mark of the Shelton Benjamin vs. John Cena match and said "It's the two minute warning". When I flipped to ABC for Monday Night Football, luck would have it that the clock was at the two minute warning. Think WWE management doesn't monitor Monday Night Football? Think again.

Booker T injured his right knee in a match with Matt Hardy at last night's SmackDown! house show, reports WrestlingObserver.com.

Immediately following the match, which came to a sudden end when Booker showed signs of pain, a number of referees hit the ring to help the wrestler make it to the back. After several minutes, he was able to get up for the trip up the ramp.

Details on the injury's severity are not yet available.

Booker T was scheduled to wrestle Chris Benoit at the Tuesday SmackDown! taping.

-- As expected, Tatanka has begun working house shows for WWE. Correspondents present at last night's WWE RAW event confirm that Tatanka has lost considerable weight since his most recent appearance on WWE TV; he actually wrestled a good portion of the tag match that featured he and Shelton Benjamin against Carlito and Jonathan Coachman.

-- In a bit of positive news for the WWE Champion, the crowd at that same house show was very behind John Cena; readers say he got the best pop of the night. There has been an ongoing concern about the mixed crowd reaction he has been getting since the start of his feud with Kurt Angle, but his solid merchandise track record and positive backstage reputation has prevented WWE management from pulling the plug on his title reign.

Anyone else feel like begging to get the belt off of Cena. It says a lot about WWE when there, supposed-to-be, top face and champion is booed.

WWE are considering bringing back Chuck Palumbo. Palumbo was released by WWE in November of 2004 and has since opted to compete in Japan as opposed to in the states. The main reason that WWE seems interested in bringing back Palumbo is because his ******* is something of a war hero in Afghanistan. JBL mentioned on television that war hero Chris Palumbo is "the ******* of one of our wrestlers." Talk of bringing back Chuck Palumbo started just after WWE came back from their trip in Afghanistan.

WWE is also interested in bringing back Aaron Aguilera, who was known as Carlito's bodyguard Jesus. He suffered a neck injury soon after he debuted and was subsequently released this past April.

There are some conflicting reports going around about Charlie Haas possibly returning to WWE. Some state that Charlie Haas is not returning to WWE, although, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter says otherwise. Haas has ripped apart the WWE creative team in interviews after his release this past July. We'll have to wait and see on this one although the rumors state he will have something to do with Shelton Benjamin's new storyline.

Anyone else think its stupid how the WWE is still going after Lesnar?

World Wrestling Entertainment has reportedly withdrawn its attempt to prevent Brock Lesnar from wrestling at next week's New Japan Pro Wrestling event, reports WrestlingObserver.com.

After coming to the realization that it would not win the motion to prevent Lesnar from wrestling, WWE reportedly decided to pull out of the hearing.

The lawsuit that will ultimately determine Brock Lesnar's future as a pro wrestler, however, is still ongoing.

RSS - Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication

It kinda works like the CNN newsticker but not as obnoxious, at least not SharpReader, the RSS reader I use. Basically if a news website posts an article, your RSS reader picks it up and you can view the article without having to visit the website.

So say I'm gone for 2-3 days, instead of visiting the website and going back 3-4 pages I can just check my RSS reader and all of the articles are there from all the websites you are subscribed to. Just wondering if any wrestling new websites RSS their stories so I don't have to keep visiting the websites.

Thank for explaning that, pretty cool feature .

Actauly I am behind WWE on this one, pretty much the only one I think. I mean Leasnar did sign the contract, as stupid as a 10 year no compete contract is, he did sign it. He thought he would be able to walk out of WWE and get a NFL contract no problem and when that failed, he knew the only way he could continue the life the style he was living was by wrestling so he went back to WWE and gave them an offer that not even WWE was dumb enough to sign, so when the WWE didn't take him back he sued the company, then during the case both parties tried to come to terms, and again Lesnar asked for things that no one is going to give him, so he then goes to NJPW and works for them, and for some reason Lesnar is put over Masahiro Chono for the title, just 2 months after Chono wins the G-1 tournament, not only did he win, but he won in 8 mins, makes no sence to me, I mean I know why they did it, but putting him over Chono in 8 mins is not believable at all, especially to anyone that follows NJPW. Well thats just my opinion on the whole thing.

On a side note one of my buddies was over working for NJPW when Lesnar went over to start working out a few weeks before his first show, said he was a pretty nice guy over all.

After watching Smackdown! I have come to a conclusion: if they ever, EVER, let Booker do commentary again, I'm going scissors kick the tv.

mark henry? what a boring guy to have interfere in that match, now he will probably be involved in some storylines for a couple of months but then he is going to go right back to wrestling on hear and velocity, i never really like this guy, he's not all that fun to watch.

another thing....for some reason i cannot stand big guys such as kane, big show, undertaker, mark henry, viscera being champions, i dont know what it is but it just bothers me when the big guys are champions.:dunno:

Some people just cand do ring commentary. In fact I would say most of them are not good at it. It is probably something that is a harder to do than it seems.

I was surprised to see Henry back the way he was. Not only as a heel, but looking really odd with his chubby face and hair rolls. Like you said, now the Batista/Henry storyline will get to drag on, just like this new thing with Melina's attorney:(

I'm sure, but there have been many to do it with annoying voices, first to mind being Jim Cornette, but Booker just doesn't have a voice to keep people interested.

Melina on the microphone in the centre of the ring trying to act upset should get a Oscar.Yes I said Oscar...for the worst acting in the history stage,tv and films ever.To be honest I just think this woman has no talent what so ever.I know I'll slated for this too,I think she shouldn't even be on TV as she most likely the worst Diva ever.Even Mae Young would be better to look at than her.

WWE has released some great beauties in the past with more talent and a lot better looking too in my book. All I can ask is who is she ******** with ?

From a fan

I just wanted to point out that on the promo that ran on Smackdown, December 30th, promoting the return of Fit Finlay he points out how he is from Belfast, which as most people would know, is in Northern Ireland-a part of the United Kingdom. However, at the end of the promo they show his new logo over a Republic of Ireland flag-traditionally a tricolor of green white and orange. The Northern Irish flag has a St. George's cross defaced with a red hand, a six pointed star, and a crown. This might not seem like a big deal to some people, but to me, an Irishman, it kinda ticks me off that once again WWE forgets the differences between Northern Ireland and The Republic.

With the way they are going won't matter in a few years as the country will be united again. But having said that there is a long way to go as many older Irish are still opposed to it.But he's right with the way WWE don't do there home work when it comes to foreign wrestlers and countries.
