If they were going to "fire" Cena, why would they announce his match at Wrestlemania? It's so fuckin stupid and I'm tired of these dumbass storylines. There have been so many do-overs in Cena storylines that it is redonkuluos... not ridiculous, REDONKULOUS. Hey! Cena is Barrett's bitch and he's starting to show weakness! HAHA JK... Supercena destroys all of Nexus... CENA is FIRED... LOLJK we can't get rid of our golden goose. Hey! Cena is Drafted to Smackdown! HAHAHAHA did you really believe us :p If Cena actually does lose to Punk I wonder what stupid ass explanation they'll come up with to bring him back.. It's like the writers know everyone over the age of 9 hates him and they love to fuck with us by doing crap like this.

WWE had the opportunity to go in there and make the story so interesting, but they failed and Raw was shit. Cena had 2 segments which may be the reason Raw sucked, he is so robotic on the mic and seriously can't make ANYTHING interesting, not even after Punk's awesome promo.

I was reading a comment from ProwrestlingReport and some guy said it would be great to see Vince screw over Punk, Montreal Screwjob style. If Cena was a part of this then it would turn him heel, which would be interesting. I think this would be a great storyline but WWE won't do it, I doubt Cena will ever turn heel in his tenure at WWE, it's gonna be the same old shit from here on out.

Cena is never going heel or getting fired. as much as i hate him, he seems to be too big a draw for them to tamper with his character now or anytime soon. Same thing with Hulk Hogan in the 80's and early 90's, they never tampered with his character cause he was too popular, but once his popularity exhausted, they let him go without fighting his departure.

Cena has been trying so hard to be Hulk, I think this is all he needs to do finish that! But, that won't happen for yrs. Just like it took yrs for Hogan to turn heel.

Regardless, the whole fire Cena thing was weak. I mean i wish he would get fired, for real, though, not in some lame-ass storyline.

Ever been to a WWE match? Half of the stadium routinely jeers Cena.

Vince is trying to convince himself that Hulkamania was his creation by shoving Cena down everybody's throat. This fails for several reasons.

1: Wrestling fans are more sophisticated today. People don't just let a promoter to tell them who to like.
2: Cena has some of the worst ring psychology ever. Hogan was a horrible wrestler but he had great psychology in the ring. Cena doesn't get that you have to put your opponent over to put yourself over.
3: Cena doesn't have a great heel to play off of. Hogan would have never got as big as he was if wasn't for Roddy Piper. CM Punk could be that guy but Vince won't let him.

If Vince wants to be an entertainment mogul, fine. Let wrestling people handle the wrestling side. He needs to go back to booking wrestling cards instead of writing TV shows.

"I don’t hate you, John. I don’t even dislike you. I do like you. I like you a hell of a lot better than most of the people in the back. I hate the idea that you’re the best. Because you’re not. I’m the best. I’m the best in the world. There’s one thing you’re better at than I am and that’s kissing Vince McMahon’s ass. You’re as good at kissing Vince’s ass as Hulk Hogan was. I don’t know if you’re as good as Dwayne, though. He’s a pretty good ass kisser. Always was and still is. Oops, I’m breaking the fourth wall (waves at camera).
“I’m the best wrestler in the world. I’ve been the best ever since day one when I walked into this company and I’ve been vilified and hated since that day because Paul Heyman saw something in me that nobody else wanted to admit. That’s right; I’m a Paul Heyman guy. You know who else was a Paul Heyman guy? Brock Lesnar, and he split just like I’m splitting. But the biggest difference between me and Brock is I’m going to leave with the WWE championship.
“I’ve grabbed so many of Vincent K. McMahon’s imaginary brass rings that it’s finally dawned on me that they’re just that. They’re completely imaginary. The only thing that’s real is me. And the fact that day in and day out for almost 6 years I’ve proved to everyone in the world that I’m the best on this microphone, in the ring, even on commentary. Nobody can touch me.
“Yet no matter how many times I prove it I’m not on your lovely little collector’s cups. I’m not on the cover of the program. I’m barely promoted. I don’t get to be in movies. I’m certainly not on any crappy show on the USA Network. I’m not on the poster of WrestleMania. I’m not on the signature that’s promoted at the top of the show. I’m not on Conan O’Brien. I’m not on Jimmy Fallon. But the fact of the matter is I should be and trust me this isn’t sour grapes. But the fact that Dwayne is in the main event of WrestleMania next year and I’m not makes me sick.
“Let me get something straight. Those of you who are cheering me right now, you are just as big of a part of me leaving as anything else. Because you’re the ones sipping out of those collector cups. You’re the ones who buy the programs that my face isn’t on the cover of and then at 5 in the morning in the airport you shove it in my face so you can go sell it on E-bay because you’re too lazy to get a real job.
“I’m leaving with the WWE championship on July 17 and who knows, maybe I’ll go defend it in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Maybe I’ll go back to Ring of Honor. Hey Colt Cabana, how you doing? (looks at camera and waves)
“The reason I’m leaving is you people, because after I’m gone you’ll still pour money into this company. I’m just a spoke on the wheel. The wheel’s gonna keep turning and I understand that. Vince McMahon’s going to make money in spite of himself. He’s a millionaire who should be a billionaire. Know why he’s not a billionaire? It’s because he surrounds himself with glad-handing, nonsensical %@$#%*%$% yes men like John Laurinaitis who’s going to tell him everything he wants to hear.
“And I’d like to think that maybe this company will be better after Vince McMahon’s dead but the fact is it’s going to get taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and the rest of his stupid family. Let me tell you a personal story about Vince McMahon. We do this whole bully campaign-”

(Punk's mic is cut out)

I wonder what he was going to say about the bully campaign. You know, that anti-bullying PSA that appears on every Raw and Smackdown, and possibly PPV's.

Also, repeating this part:
"I’ve been the best ever since day one when I walked into this company and I’ve been vilified and hated since that day because Paul Heyman saw something in me that nobody else wanted to admit."
What did Paul Heyman have to do with people hating Punk? Was it simply because Punk was with ECW? I guess I missed out on something. Does this go back to 'Invasion', or is it something else?

Let's be honest here, Punk and Cena ain't going anywhere.....it's common knowledge that Steve Austin contibutes a lot to the writing lately since he's done w/ Tough Enough and if anybody read Steve's book you would know that he says he's pushed Vince to let the guys go back to more "reality based" shoots and works and less "written" stuff that Vince and Stephanie have all final approval on.

This "angle" is the beginning of the "Austin Era" all over again....

Yeah, I got the paperback @ Borders for $7.99....I couldn't put that fucker down.
Lots of great stories about Brian Pillman, how Eric Bischoff told him he'd never make it in his black boots and bald head and firing him over the phone....great read.

I won't give too much away but after reading his book, you'll DEFINITELY have a greater respect for Vince due to the way he treated Austin and his family.
I HIGHLY reccommend Ric Flair's book too, it's better than Austin's and that is saying something!http://www.amazon.com/Stone-Cold-Tr...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1310149540&sr=1-1

I've got the hardcover editions of Stone Cold, Eric Bischoff, Chyna, Lita and Bret Hart. It's been awhile since I've read them though.

Bret's is great, it came out before he and Shawn reconciled so it has some interesting comments in there. A pretty crappy story about Warrior is in there too.

I've only read two wrestling autobiographies; Edge and Eddie Guerrero's. Both were excellent, especially Eddie's. He told some incredible stories in it, including one where the Nasty Boys are tricked into taking shots of lobster shit.

What is with WWE re-using old storylines from a year ago? First it was if Cena loses his match at MIB he's fired, which is like the Cena/Nexus angle about him getting fired. And Now on Smackdown Sheamus is going after Randy Orton because he punted him in the head, just like when CM Punk went after Orton because he punted him in the head

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
There's no way Punk is going anywhere. He's too goddamn awesome. Vince would be crazy to let him go back to ROH.

Love the Colt Cabana chants from the crowd. :1orglaugh

And of course, Cena to the rescue to ruin a great promo.

I actually was impressed with Cena for once, though the handicap match he was in was dreadful.

Was anyone else surprised Vince called CM Punk an SOB?

Cena played his role well, but Punk just hit another one out of the park. I suspect this entire storyline is just Vince's attempt to appease the IWC (by mentioning their opinions on TV through Punk), but damn... it is good to hear someone say what we are all thinking. I would have loved it if Punk mentioned how Vince not only released good wrestlers like Cabana and Gallows, but completely passed on the likes of AJ Styles.
