Undertaker Throws Fit Backstage, Orton Involved

Apparently an incident involving The Undertaker and Bob Orton has been the talk of the locker room recently.

The PWTorch newsletter reports that The Undertaker recently threw a fit backstage when he found out that WWE officials apparently had knowledge that, as a teenager, Bob Orton had hepatitis and was told to ***** with Undertaker in the ring. Hepatitis apparently remains contagious for life.

ATTENTION UK FANS

Sources at BSkyB have revealed to Wrestlemag this afternoon that WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event special will air live on Sky Sports. The show, which takes place on Saturday, March 18, will go out live at at 2am local time as it's aired on NBC in the United States.

Wrestlemag can also exclusively reveal that Sky may have a fight on their hands when their current television deal with WWE expires. Although the current deal lasts for around another four years, there is already talk that cable giants NTL will launch a bid to secure rights to all WWE programming when the deal is nearing an end. NTL are currently finalising their merger with fellow cable company, Telewest, with the merger set to be completed in mid-March. From what we have learnt today, once the merger is complete, NTL are keen to secure rights to several sports and entertainment events that Sky TV currently have the rights to in a bid to become the market leaders for digital television in the UK.

NTL have also internally discussed further promoting WWE PPV events to their customers. As things are, the only real advertising for WWE PPV's is from WWE themselves (bar adverts on Sky Sports and Sky Sports News), and NTL have already expressed a desire to increase their promotion for upcoming PPV's throughout 2006.

On a related SmackDown note, the plan is to still keep the show on Friday night's on the new CW Network despite the big merger between UPN and The WB Networks this past week. There was said to be some early concern when the merger was first announced if the show was going to again be bumped to a different timeslot. That doesn't appear to be the case right now.

According to WWE.com, the website will be showing superstars picking their Royal Rumble entry numbers on Sunday afternoon starting at 3:30pm Eastern.

On a related note, WWE.com also has up a section looking at the odds of some superstars to win the Royal Rumble.

During the OVW post-TV taping raffle, Eugene made an appearance, greeting fans, signing autographs. When asked how he was feeling he replied "good". He looked rested and well. No word yet as to when he will reappear on the WWE programming.

Reports out of Japan indicate that Tajiri is returning to ring action next month in Mexico, when his 90-day no-complete clause expires.

:nanner:The WWE Divas Invade New York DVD will be released on 2/21:nanner:

Chris Jericho is currently taking acting classes and doing auditions for acting roles. He is scheduled for an upcoming Fozzy European tour. Y2J also signed an extension for his Sunday night XM radio show, and it will be expanded to two hours. As far as doing TNA, Jericho is said to be interested if he could get a "Sting" like deal.

i thought Jericho was just taking a break from WWE to do some Fozzy stuff.
now it sounds like he's not coming back

:wtf:

WWE shot an angle at last night's Miami Heat-Phoenix Suns game that included superstar NBA player Shaquille O'Neal's first WWE involvement in several years.

After the game, in which the Heat lost, Carlito started taunting Heat player Jason Williams, which led to Williams' teammate O'Neal coming up from behind and hitting Carlito with a chair.

Footage will be available on WWE.com later today.

This sounds way too much like the David Arquette-type angles that helped hasten the demise of WCW. If the WWE would invest more time in producing better wrestlers and feuds, they wouldn't have to resort to these gimmicks.

Going off that and WCW, I'd say that pretty soon we'll be seeing Conan O'Brian in the ring:rofl2:

they should do something like that here in England.
would love to see Wayne Rooney do one of his hissy fits with someone from the WWE
