To put it simply.

1. The board gets progressively worse.

2. A lot of good board members left.

3. While some good new members have come they for the most part haven't equaled the quality or the number of the good members we once had.

4. The board has become a place where nice and smart threads with thoughtful discussions are fewer and farther between and a bunch of crappy nonsensical threads fill the talk page.
