So, if I'm reading this right, the husband gets to decide if his wife continues in her career in porn? That's not cool. Accept it, or don't jump into the relationship.

That said, I don't know if I could do it. While I have the utmost respect for women, and that certainly includes women who do porn for a living, I would have to work really hard to get my head around my wife having sex with other people. I know it is a job, I know these women are just normal women who, outside of their job have completely normal lives. I just don't know if I'm a big enough man to get past their job. That's much more a reflection on me than it is on the women doing porn, of course.

This, exactly, you are absolutely right and I couldn't agree more. Judging other people for their lifestyles says more about you than it does for the people you're judging. And exactly, if you can't accept or live with the other person's lifestyle, then don't even attempt a relationship with them. It's your own stupid fault for getting involved in the first place and then expecting her to quit for you. You know what you got yourself into, so don't go making her out to be a selfish, nasty piece of trash because you don't accept it. If you got into it knowing what she does, get yourself out of it. Don't get involved with someone and then expect them to change.

It's not a lack of self respect. It's no different from being sexually promiscuous in your personal life, aside from the fact that it's on film. Some people have sex with a lot of people, some don't. It doesn't make much of a difference whether it's being taped or not. There's nothing wrong with being in porn, and anyone who says otherwise is nothing but an insecure, judgmental jerk. There's also nothing wrong with not wanting to date someone in the adult industry. I couldn't, I know for damn sure that I couldn't, I'd definitely be way too jealous. I never said I wouldn't be. But I would also never look down on someone who is an adult performer, that's their choice, that's their lifestyle. I've been there, done that. I still am there, except now I'm only doing solo work and occasional g/g. To say that girls who fuck on film have no self respect and to talk about them as if they're worthless, dirty pieces of trash is just completely, disgustingly wrong.

Some girls are proud of their bodies and carefree about it, not giving a shit what other people think about them. Kudos to those girls, and in a way, I am that girl, except I do care what people think about me, to an extent. I care but I still do whatever the fuck I want.

Wouldn't you also say that it's fucked up and hypocritical of someone to watch porn, fantasize about the girls, masturbating to them, yet they go on trash talking the very girls they're dreaming about? Don't make excuses for yourself, don't try to make it look like you're not being hypocritical, because you are. It has always bothered me when I've heard men talking about how breathtakingly gorgeous girls in the adult industry are, going to strip clubs, jacking off to Playboy and Hustler magazines, watching porn, yet when faced with a girl who IS a stripper, they tell that girl, "That's disgusting," and tell their sons not to hang out with those girls. It's perfectly fine for you to want to fuck them, but god forbid you should show them any respect.

And actually no, I wouldn't give a shit if my guy were a pimp. Being a pimp doesn't necessarily require or involve any sexual relations between yourself and other people. Being a pimp is nothing more than having contacts with girls who have sex with other guys for money, taking a percentage of their pay from clients as the pimp is the one organizing the appointments and often times, providing the transportation and locations for the sex to occur.

Being in porn, being a stripper, or being an escort (or whore, hooker, prostitute, whatever term you prefer) is nothing more than a different lifestyle. It has nothing to do with lack of self respect. Just because you don't personally practice or agree with that lifestyle doesn't mean you have to think and talk so negatively about it.

I could go on but there is really no point...I said my opinion and you said yours and it's best to leave it as is.

You know there are such things as gloves, goggles, clean suits, and lab coats, right? I've done jobs dirtier than you've mentioned, and not even had to have a shower at the end of the day because of protective wear.

Kind of an irrelevant statement in a thread about pornstars, really.

and in regards to the thread topic, if I loved her and wanted to be with her then her profession wouldn't matter to me. Heck she'd have to marry a Librarian so to each their own.

I wouldn't be opposed to it in principle. That is, I wouldn't dismiss the notion out of hand if I felt strongly enough about her. But in the end, I would never be able to get past the fact that my wife was fucking other guys. Wouldn't matter why she was, I just wouldn't be comfortable with it emotionally.

More importantly, however, no pornstar would be willing to marry me.

Like some other guys on here, it would me a challenge for me emotionally. On the one hand I think it would be a tremendous thrill at times to think "Here's this woman who so many men desire, who gets paid to show off her body, gets paid to show off sexually and yet, I'm the guy she wants to come home to. How awesome is that!?!" There are other times though when I'm sure I wouldn't be feeling good or confident about myself and I'd have to ask, "Why is she with me? Do I really measure up (physically and otherwise) to all of the other men she is with, has been with, will be with or could be with?" and I'd assume that my porn star wife was asking herself the some questions.

On the other hand, if my porn star wife was only doing girl on girl scenes, I don't think that would bother me nearly as much. Even if she had a serious female lover, it would be OK, I could rationalize it. Men and women are so different not just physically but emotionally, that what my fictional wife was getting from me couldn't be easily replaced or bettered by a woman. It would be different but not better.

As for who I'd be willing to give it a go with... Eve Angel because in real life I've known some great Hungarian girls and she's transitioned to doing only girl on girl scenes so that could work out. Jelena Jensen has always struck me as an intelligent woman, we could talk about movies, she could teach me to shoot a shot gun and she only does boy-girl work with her boyfriend so, while I'm not sure I'd want to get into porn myself, I'd consider doing it with her. Here in the UK they tell us that 16 hours a week is full time work so that you can't claim benefits.

The rich still get to dodge paying tax though, so at least some things are still good :thumbsup:
