Would you abandon your pet?

lol I would have to say I agree...to an extent that is :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my fuzzy little critters and it is very sad that some people don't have the respect and heart for them that they should...

They say that you can tell a lot about a person by the way that they treat animals...if you meet someone that is mean to them....STAY AWAY!

I value animals over people, period. I don't care if I lose any credibility I had left by saying that, it's true. It's what the fourth song on my website is written about.

If you could either save all the humans or all the animals on the planet, and the others would die, which would you save? Assuming they could live without each other?

Animals are far more humane than humans. My opinion. If I saw a safari hunter killing a wild animal for sport and I had a gun I think I would lose my mind and hunt him too. I'm serious. Some people lose it over child molesters and some people lose it over race, or because of homophobia. I lose it over cruelty to animals, and mankind's ongoing obsession with the delusion that our species is better, more important, or superior to all the others for some reason, when we're the ones destroying the fucking planet.

Just my opinion.

So just out of curiosity what do you consider as animal cruelty **********?

Another question, if you saw a hawk swoop down and get ready to tear a mouse apart, or some lion bite into a zebra would you race to that animals rescue?

I'm not going to get into questions of nature and the survival of the fittest and all that stuff. I'm just not. We kill for sport, we kill for nothing, we kill a lot more than we eat, and we're destroying the planet. Those are facts, I don't need to spend time defending my position because the facts do that for me. It's not about nature with human beings any more. It's far beyond that. You can spend a lifetime justifying it and it doesn't change what it is.

I've rescued enough animals and cried over enough dead deer and stopped enough bastards from killing spiders and everything else you can imagine so that whether my arguments are weak or shared or what, it doesn't matter to me, I don't care what anyone thinks. I wrote a song about it. I do as much as I can without devoting my life to it. I'm not trying to make you feel bad or say I'm an angel, I'm just saying what I think. Humans suck.

And yes, I think Charles Darwin is a fucking arsehole as well.

But I love Erica. She makes it all ok. :)

I would surely go to great lengths to save my dog. But, I believe the many scientists that predict 1 of 4 species will be extinct by 2050. So, I don't see much of a point in working with animals and trying to save them. I just can't see humans establishing a colony on the moon or elsewhere before we blow ourselves into oblivion thanks to our technical intelligence and Christianity.

Well ok, I was just curious as far as animals were concerned, not how people act. Perhaps I should rephrase the question a little. I am assuming since you think animals are just part of nature and because that is all it is, that it is ok for them to kill each other. Otherwise how would it survive? Correct me if I am wrong. But lets change the question a little. If an animal started attacking a human and was going to kill them, would you let them, or would you do something to try and help that person. I was just curious because you said that you, "valued animals over people, period". Now if you didn't have a problem with animals killing each other, then you should have absolutely no problem with them killing us. By your own words you value humans less. So if some animal, lets say a cougar started attacking somebody walking down the road, would you just go by like nothing was wrong and not help them, or would you try and help that person? Otherwise if you helped that person, that would be tantamount to saying that humans are somehow special and above animals because you wouldn't help another animal in that situation. I am just curious.

On another note, You Might think Darwin was an asshole, but the facts have proven him right also.

lol I would have to put my loved ones in the boat first...but I would be squeezing as many critters as I could on their too....and if I could fit two more of my critters on there if it meant me staying behind I would. I love my babies :) And I love my family too :)

Kudos, Erica! My 2 cats are my "children." They rely upon me and give me unlimited joy and friendship. I love them to death!!! I could lose (nearly did this summer) all my earthly possessions, but in the end all I care about are my 2 babies. :)

Would I leave my pets behind? Hell no. They are like part of the family. I just couldn't do it.

Aaaawwwwwwww... They're cuties, Erica!!! Very pretty dogs!

I love my 2 cats to death (as I said earlier, they're my children, basically), but in adulthood I've always been a "dog person." An albino German Shepherd dog attacked me when I was a kid ( I think I was 8 or 9 years-old) and I was petrified of dogs until I got my own puppy (when I was a teen) and raised him. :) I love dogs now! :nanner:

:hi: Erica. That photo of you with your doggies is so endearing. It makes me want to snuggle in between you and the beautiful bitch I see on your right. It's true - I'm a sucker for girls with dogs. :)

I Could never leave my dog behind. He is like my child since I don't have any. He is part of the family and I could never even think about abandonning him. I have raised him and he has formed an unatural attachment to me. If I leave the house for five minutes or five hours he will lay by the door and wait for me to return. Besides how could you leave that face behind.

I have two kitties..whic hare my babies. I've moved across country, then back again, then up north with them by my side every time! Saturday im adopting my first puppy...and..no. I wouldnt leave my pets behind! What Idont understand is...if I was in a "jam" liek that..would you not try to fit up to 3 of yer catts into a carrier and hold them on your lap? Even a big dog...if I had to Id gladly be squashed by my pup on my lap. Is that not allowed?

It just seems like all this "space requirement " is a lot of BS.....cux...you can seriously lbuilder yer spot on the bus or whatever up..by having yer animals on yer lap.

Does that not work?
