Gargantua. i swear their budget must have been 20c. the tv show "Surface" i reckon is a much better funded remake. even though its still shitass. in Gargantua their big underwater dinosaur dilly from a crack in the earth made by an earthquake was pretty much one of those childrens blow up pool dinosaur floaties lol. me and my brother were taking the piss out of everything that happened in that sad excuse for a movie.

Yeah Gargantua sucked big-time. I remember Sky movies was plugging this crap for all it was worth.

Another stinker - Sgt. Bilko. What was Steve Martin thinking when he took the part (besides dollars)? There is only ONE Sgt Bilko - Phil Silvers. Even when Silvers appeared in movies like Carry On... Follow That Camel & It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, his character was Bilko in all but name.

But I digress - the following films were judged the worst 10 of 2005 by cinemagoers (according to the London Evening Standard):

1: Revolver
2: Alexander
3: Fantastic Four
4. Be Cool
5. Melinda and Melinda
6. Valiant
7. House Of Wax
8. Bewitched
9. Herbie-Fully Loaded
10. Dukes Of Hazzard

i havent seen either revolver or alexander but i think alexander should be at the #1 worst movie of all time. coz the entire roman empire did wat the nazis tried to do (if you dont think so youre deluded) i think the whole concept of glorifying dictatorship and tyranny is absolutely disgraceful

Care to explain why the Ancient Romans should be compared to the Nazis?

(PS: I haven't seen Alexander yet, but I thought it was about Alexander the Great, who was Greek - the Roman empire originated in Italy)

I dont like to answer things like this cause what i think stinks somebody else may really love and vice versa. I can think of a few movies that i could have done without or coulda/woulda/shoulda been better, but remember "one man's trash is another man's treasure." Just my opinion.:)

Feel free to comment. The title of this thread is worst films you have seen - while people will disagree (like I did with The Matrix), it's ultimately your decision.

Garfield - god what a turkey this was even JLH couldn't save it.Loved the comic strips. But this film was terrible even Odie was nothing like the dog in the cartoon strips.

The movie itself didn't bother me, but the character selection:
Like you said, Odie, but then again they used a real dog.
Nermal was a guy:wtf: I remember Nermal being an annoying female cat.
Bill Murray did a good job with the voice, but the choice for John:(
And your right, not even JLH saved the movie. But what do you expect from an animated cat.:dunno:

OK, im gonna be brave like om3ga suggested, worst movie I have ever seen......in high school my dad rented a stinker called "werewolf of washington" or something like that. Man, i think they spent a whole $1.75 on the effects for the wolfman. i still cant get that bad movie outta my head after nearly 20 years. Worst recent movie i've seen.........i saw....what did i see?......at the risk of starting a skirmish, "Revenge of the Sith" as far as plot, character, and letdown. Special effects were awesome, a bit much, but i really wanted a throwdown involving the wookies, they seem to have so much potential for whupping ass.:)

The Incredibles, Fantastic four, Catwoman, Dark Waters, The Devils Rejects, Superman 4, Superwoman,

Don't go to or rent movies that often and reviews and the cast influence my selections. Rented House of Wax and saw it with my daughter. What an awful, awful movie. Be Cool was also lame.

One of today's tabloids was plugging Crimson Force, a Sci-Fi flick about a Martian Civil War which is currently on Sky Movies 1.

It stinks to high heaven............:o

Worst Movie Lately: War of the Worlds. What a smarmy crapfest.

Movie That Would Be Worth A Lobotomy Just To Get It Out Of My Head: The Crying Game. The winter I saw that POS, I literally waited 5 months, took it camping, blasted the shit out of it with a 30-30.

Worst movies for me, off the top, Master of Disguise and Son of the Mask.

One more vote for 'War of the Worlds'. I guess I wanted it to be more like 'Independance Day' and less, 'ahhh aliens, run again'.

It was the ending that spoiled War Of The Worlds for me.

But I digress - many years ago, I saw a video called Crimewave and thought it was underrated:

Watching it now on TV (ITV4 to be precise), it's too clever by half (and the hero is so naff).
