Ok - considering that next year is the ultimate footie extravaganza, the World Cup, and since we don't have a poll yet, now's your chance to speak - who will win in Germany 2006?

PS: congrats to Holland for beating the Czech Republic yesterday (since that allowed England to qualify....)

[Edit] 24 countries have booked their places for the World Cup (which starts on 9 June 2006).

Qualified teams:
Germany, Argentina, Japan, Iran, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine, USA, Brazil, Mexico, Angola, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Holland, Poland, England, Croatia, Italy, Tunisia, Portugal, Ecuador, Paraguay.

Since it's only a poll, I'll be patriotic, would I bet money on the US team though........nope.

The german team was miserable again yesterday, lost 2:1 against Turkey.
I'd like to be patriotic, too, but I'm realistic and say Brazil is going to win.

Yeah - I voted for Brazil too - England's recent performances won't have other teams shaking in fear....

I also hope france will succeed qualifying but with the bad result against Switzerland yesterday (1-1) it's gonna be really hard to go to germany...
I'm quite lucid, that's why I didn't vote to France, my vote went for holland :D

I think Brazil won't win just because they're expected too much of, they'll be in the top 4 for sure though.
Unfortunately, I can't find a single country that is in good enough shape to beat them, even the world's finest aren't in tip-top shape so I'm afraid they get my vote.

Note: I realize I'm contradicting myself but that's how it goes.

They will qualify 99% because they're the first in their group and they have the easiest match of the 3 teams in the picture. They're playing Cyprus while Switzerland and Ireland are playing each other so unless they lose or tie they're #1 guaranteed.

Brazil team needed only a good goalkeeper, now they got 2 of them.
They are going to kick asses... of course, you know what I'm cheering for :nanner:

pitino

are you talking to me?
Brazil of course...

The main problem for Brazil is that they have to much strikers and offensive midfielders

Strikers :
Robinho (Real Madrid)
Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
Adriano (Inter Milan)
Ricardo Oliveira (Betis Sevilla)

Midfielders :
Ronaldinho (Barcelona)
Juninho (Lyon)
Kaka (Milan AC)
Baptista (Real Madrid)
Ricardinho (Santos FC)
Edu (Valencia FC)

Choose 5 among these 10 great players...
