Well, like the 7 million post count, My OCSM of the Year countdown begins. The winner will be announced on January 1, 2013.
For those of you not familiar with the contest that I hold, here are some of the rules.
1. Beginning on January 1 of each year I begin a monthly tabulation of post counts on all OCSMs who post or are active within the year. I also log a separate database for all newcomers. I tally them on the first of each month into my database and then calculate how many posts an OCSM makes at the end of each year. On Jan 1, I take my last tabulation to calculate the winner.
2. An OCSM is eligible for OCSM of the Year if she stays active at least 10 months out of the year. I give each a two month break in case something would happen personally, log on issues, etc. An OCSM becomes ineligible if 1) she wins the contest on a previous year (sorry Miss Hybrid and Jane Burgess) 2) she goes inactive for three months 3) she is removed as an OCSM from Freeones
Those are the only two rules. As stated above, Jane Burgess won the title in 2010 and Miss Hybrid last year. Last year I also crowned the first Best Newcomer. That title went to Michelle Berger. To be eligible for Best Newcomer, you have to have become a new OCSM between December 2011 and anytime this year. I have a new category this year, for those who drop out of the eligibility pool or who have come late/back to the boards this year. I initially was going to call it the Sloppy Seconds Award, but after further review I've redubbed it the CumBack OCSM of the Year. I thought it was more fitting.
Our eligiblity pool has dwindled to 39 contestants now for OCSM of the year, down from 52 at midyear. There are 13 Necomers who are eligible in the Best Newcomer category and 14 in our Cumback Player of the Year. There have been 267 OCSMs participate in the boards this year, slightly up from last year's numbers. The boards have also welcome 77 newbs to the boards this year. Pretty good numbers, I'd say.
As for the Top 10 in the OCSM of the Year Category, here goes:
1. Briana Lee 3253 posts
2. Harley Spencer 1652
3. Vicky Vette 1127
4. Sabrina Deep 771
5. Mariah Milano 569 new
6. Red XXX 528 -1 spot from July
7. Maggie Green 489 new
8. Lelu Love 400 +1
9. Jinxypie 367 -1
10. Carmen Valentina 338 -3
Currently, Holly Rydem (debut 12/13/2011) and Lolita Borgia (debut 2/13/2012) are currently battling it out in the Best Newcomer category. Only 11 posts separate them.
Mandy Flores is currently running away with Best Cumback OCSM so far. Mandy didn't begin posting until March of this year has rocketed up the charts as one of the most active OCSMs, posting 923 times since march, making her the undeclared winner of this category. There's still a month left though before I hand out the prize, but she's built a pretty insurmountable lead.
I have yet to decide on prizes yet, but hopefully I can afford a little something this year. Suggestions for prizes to the winners would be nice. Anyway, keep posting and I'll have the winner on New Year's Day.
